Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We DID IT!

On March 1 after packing for weeks we finally went and moved in to a RV resort. This is just to sort out what we really need when fulltiming. Now we are in the process of scaling down "We don't need this!"
On 3/14 I leave for a Workamping position in Fl. DW will stay here until she retires (7/31)
I will be traveling with my two buddies (Coco & Spike) (see avitar) and will keep you all updated on how we are doing whenever I we have a AT&T connection.

Congratulations!!!  biggrin

Moving into the RV is really an exciting time. It's too bad that your DW will not be able to go with you right away, but sometimes, you have to do, what you have to do.

Good luck with you're new life-style!

We were in that park March 13th, just one night. It is one of the friendliest and cleanest parks we have visited in nearly 2 years as fulltimers. Sorry we missed you!

Thanks Dan. So far now problem. My furry friends are very good when traveling but I do stop every hour for them to streatch and do what ever, so it takes a while to do some real milage.
Tonight we are in Deming, NM in a place called 81 Palms. Big sign " NO KIDS" We are staying for two nights to do some real resting.

We have left Deming and currently on our way to Branson. Going to spend a week in Oklahoma City before going the final leg of the trip. Sorry we missed you in Deming...

Dan, where did you stay in Deming? I stopped for 2 nights at 81 Palms. Nice place but the trains at night got to me. I don't think I will stop in Deming again.

We stayed at the SKP park called Dream Catcher. Yes, between the trains and the wind we were very glad to get out of there. We didn't care much for Deming. The SKP park did not have a dog run so we took our dog into town to the dog park...turns out it was gang territory! Yikes!!! We hadn't run into that before...scary place. You would never have thought that being across the street from the senior center would be gang central. I would not recommend Deming for anything other than an overnight stay...get in and get out...
