Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are entering the last half of our RV trip. Unfortunately we have to go get J-O-B-S :( as we are not yet retired. Anyway, we have been in Arizona for the winter and were wondering what were some must-see places in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Nevada. We will be hitting the road in a few weeks and want to plan our travels in this area before heading to the Northwest.
Valley of Fire State Park. It is about 40 miles north of Las Vegas on I-15, then about 10 miles east. It doesn't look like anything special from the highway, but suddenly turns into red rock country. One of our all-time favorites.
Camp in or at least hit the National Parks in all four of those states and you'll get more eve-candy than you can tolerate! Add in a few State Parks and the Million Dollar Highway in CO and you'll overdose.
Oatman, AZ. near Laughlin... go on a saturday or sunday to enjoy the wild west show. Old west feel to the town, with semi-wild burros roaming the streets. Lots of neat little gift shops and food places. Here's a site with some info http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/az/oatman.html
Grand Canyon in AZ. & Petrified Forest
Brice and Zion Canyons in Utah

Thanks for posting this I bet you will get some good stuff over the weekend. We are summering in CO so I will be following this thread. :)
We stayed at the Oasis in Las Vegas for a few days. It was really a nice way to see Vegas. It is a little pricy but very close to everything.
We stayed in Payson AZ as well. It is a beautiful little town in the mountains above Phoenix. It has a western feel to it and the weather is great. The road is a bit of climb but easy to drive. It is a little difficult to find an RV park that bigger rigs can fit in.The Elks Club has the best RV park in the whole city with no one in it but the Camp Host. Best place to eat breakfast is the airport.

Thanks all for the suggestions! We are going to checkout Tombstone and Bisbee this week while we're still in AZ - might even take another hike up Madera Canyon :) We haven't worked out our itinerary yet (who am I kidding - we never have one ). But we plan on visiting as many National Parks as possible as well as checking out some of the other places that were mentioned.
Durango, Colorado and ride the train to the old mining town of Silverton. (Must wait for spring however...) Hike around Mesa Verde to see the cave dwellings.
I was actually in Durango, CO and visited Mesa Verde a few years ago with my mom and a friend of mine. I think I'll take my husband back for an extended trip. Durango is a neat town.
The old part of Flagstaff is really NEAT...and if you are around Phoenix and like Airplanes, the Pima Air Force Museum is AWESOME! JFK's Airforce One, and an SR-71 Blackbird are on display. Have FUN! She-Nist
