Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello everyone Hoping someone out there can help us with some info. We are wanting to head home earlier than anticipated. We are from Canada northwestern ontario and we know we can't travel with our 5th wheel all the way home. The weather is so unpredictable and we don't want to take the chance of towing. We are looking for possibly storing our 5th wheel in Tenneessee or Kentucky, some place close to 1-75 for March and going to get it in April sometime. Does anyone have any info. or direct us where to call or go to get info? Thanks a million.
Why don't you just find an inexpensive campground and park it for the month. You should have a lot of choices, look in Trailer Life, or use RV Park Reviews. Good luck,
Be sure where ever you decide to leave your rig they have security. So many trailers are vandalized at these park and store places. Make sure there is a fenced in area with security to protect your investment. Also don't forget to winterize the unit and follow all the storage procedures in your owners manual. Good hunting and have a safe trip.
liketowin, we aren't close to I-75 but are close to I-40, about 45 minutes. And it might be possible you can store you 5th wheel at our place. However, we are in Gulf Shores Ala. area and want be back there until Mar 10th. We have friends who are parked on our site until we get back. But we have room to park another 5th wheel for a short time. We wouldn't charge anything but there is no hook-ups were it would be parked. GBY....

Hello everyone My sentiments exactly Leslie. This community is very helpful and kind. I've checked out the info that was given to me. Thank you for the advise as well about security. We have decided to check the weather and pick our days. Of course we would prefer to bring our rig with us. We are hoping to held home sometime in early or mid-March. This has been an adventure and pleasurable for the most part. We are not fulltime material and we were prepared with a Plan B just in case. Our next adventure will be for a shorther period for sure. We have met lots of nice folks and have learnt a lot. We are glad that we gave it a go and now know for sure what we want to do in the future. Thanks again.
Most all of Thousand Trail parks will always let you store your RV , but you probably dont belong to one while here. You might want to ck into them anyway. Just a suggestion. They are gated. Some just simply leave theyre rv there and fly out and return when they want. southwestjudy
If Atlanta Georgia might be a place to consider. The airport is a very large hub for many destinations. Just north east on Rt 85, outside the Rt. 285 perimeter, at Exit 101 is their location. Its an easy off and easy on location. The Bus Service runs just outside the park... so it would be very easy to reach the MARTA public transit system for a low cost ride directly into the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

They post on their site the cost of Storage in a Secure yard.
