Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello, David Sussman Boynton Beach, FL Not your usual soon to be fulltimer. I am in the process of trying to sell my place. I actually bought my truck and travel trailer two years ago but unfortunatly I had to deal with those darn health issues. I just turned 37 which is young in RV years but I get along with most eveyone. Besides think of all the things that I can learn from my more experienced road buddies. Instead of sitting home not using my travel trailer I want to see the world. So I said what the heck im going to live my dreams while I still can. I have not mentioned a partner because it just me and two cats( Thunder and Lightening) in a 33 foot coachman catalina travel trailer and a well kept 95 ford f350. So you will not be my friend for my money thats for sure ha ha. But I am very excited and hope to meet some or all of you.

Hi David! Welcome to the RV Dreams family. I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope you are doing better now.
My husband (48) and I (35) have been fulltiming for a little over 6 months now and absolutely love it. Although we are usually the younger ones in the crowd, RVers tend to be a friendly bunch and have always made us feel welcome. I know you will enjoy your travels on the road. It is a great country with many beautiful places to see.
When you get ready to hit the road, you might want to consider purchasing the Interagency Pass (formerly the National Parks Pass) and a Passport America membership (save 50% off many campgrounds). These have been the most valuable to us on our trip so far.
If you have any questions, ask away. The folks here are friendly, informative, and very helpful.
I don't think it's ever too early to hit the road. I only wish we could have done it sooner.
If you can swing it financially, do it! There's a lot of great people to meet, and places to go, and you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Jim

We're a bit young too (as are Howard & Linda), but have found our age not to be an issue - people have been very welcoming & friendly along the way (albeit curious of how we can travel so young.....)
I guess I am a little younger than you but I can still welcome you aboard! Sherri and I full time in our 5th wheel but we are still held captive by J O B s here in Carrollton Texas...But come June we will be free to travel at will. We are having a gathering in Kerrville Texas with many of the Dreamers and if you can you should join us. We love to meet new folks! Until we meet on the road Somewhere in Time
