Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi Everyone, We sold the house 3 weeks ago, and after giving everything to the kids, charity, and friends....and selling a few things also.....we are free ! It was a busy time, but we are so very thankful, and happy. We closed this morning at 10:00, and we are over the moon. A very nice couple bought our house. Want to thank everyone....Howard, Linda and all of you on this wonderful forum for all your support, and information. You all have been so great. We hope to meet all of you sometime in the future. For all of you still waiting...have faith as after a year we finally did it. Thanks again With our fond wishes Larry & Arlene

Larry and Arlene, I am so happy for you. I, too, have just sold my house and bought my rig, and realize how fortunate we are to have accomplished this in the current market. I hope our paths cross some day, and meanwhile, happy travels!

Congratulations, Larry & Arlene!! What a great feeling that must be! We've taken our house off the market until spring and hope things will be better then. Where will you be going in FL? We spend Dec-April in the Keys and can't wait to get down there.
Gypsy, congratulations to you too!! I must have missed your message that you had sold your house. What rig did you end up buying? Where will you spend the winter?
I bought a 2004 Hitchhiker II and a Ford 350 diesel dually. I'm in NY visiting my son & his family, and the rig is in a storage unit over in NJ. Until my check clears I won't be going anywhere It looks like I'll be in NY until the 1st of Dec, and then head south to Asheville to pick up my stuff in storage. Then I will make my way west to the vicinity of Sacramento. Hope to find workamping in Northern CA for the winter. gypsy

George & Sandy....thank you and it will not be that long for you...you will be out there with us before you know it...our best wishes. Gypsy...congratulations and enjoy your new lifestyle. You deserve a lot of credit for following your dream.....you go girlfriend !!! Thanks for your kind wishes....and yes we will love meeting you sometime. Caseydee...thanks also, and we wish you luck selling the house. It took us a little over a year, but it happened, and with lot's of faith, and by the way we did have the St Joseph Statue right under our for sale sign in our window. We were told to do this, and our home would sell....it did ! Took us a year, but it did sell, and in that time I had time to adjust to the fact that I would be leaving most all my "stuff" behind...gone forever...so the time really helped me...because no matter how much I wanted to do it...I had a few twinges of feeling like... "all my things will be gone forever" So that passed and after a time...I was just saying then...."oh my goodness I just want to get rid of everything if this house will only sell" hee hee So it was a blessing in disquise for me I guess....'cause I was ready when it sold to get rid of it and move on down the road. This has been on the forum and all over the internet for years.....about the St Joseph statue. Look it up on Google if you wish. It was a team effort and we are so very thankful. Again....thank you all for your good wishes, and our very best to all of you trying to sell your homes.... Happy ...safe....fun travels.

Thanks for reminding me of the St. Joseph statue! We had another house in GA that we finally sold in June after over a year on the market. We had buried a St. Joseph statue after reading about it. Now I need to order another one and when we put our house back on the market in the spring we'll put our faith in him again.
As I've learned over the years, things generally happen for a reason and sometimes "our" timing is not the right time. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June and have gone through 3 surguries since then. (The cancer is gone, I didn't have to have chemo or radiation. Thank God for those blessings!) If our house had sold during the past 5 months, I'm not sure we could have physically handled all that would have involved. So, maybe in the spring when I'll be physically ready to do all that work, that special buyer will come along. This time has allowed me to get mentally ready to dispose of most everything and just keep the very special belongings in storage. I spend hours on the internet looking at MHs for sale. This is a terrific time to buy and we're just itching to. Unfortunately, we have to wait until we sell our house. But I have faith that time will come when it's the "right" time.
Yea! Congrats to you both! Once the house and 'stuff' is gone, the feeling is great. We sold our house this past Sept after 6 weeks on the market and yes, St Joe was a major help ( I think it helped him out when I poured holy water over him several times ) He has a place of honor here in our 5vr. We're parked in an campground til we head up towards the Mother Lode in about 6 weeks.
Hey, gypsy97 good choice on the rig! We own a 05 35LKRSB CE and a F350 dually P/S. Are you on the NuWa owner's forum, too?
