Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Rear Bath Floorplan

I've searched this subject and can't find anything. I'm curious to know if anybody out there has a rear bath floorplan and what their thoughts are about it. Thanks!

Holiday Rambler offers a rear bath in the SKS model TT. We had a 30 SKS with front BR, center living and rear bath.

Are you talking about a rear bath Travel Trailer?

We saw some real nice rear motorhomes when we took the Tiffin motorhome tour.
They were in the 42+ foot models in the Allegro Bus.  Sure were nice.
Never have seen anything like that in a fifth wheel.

We had a 23ft travel trailer with a rear bath. It was great, lots of room and even had a short tub shower combo. There was a big closet plus drawers. It was one of the reasons we bought the trailer.

I think due to layout, weight and balance considerations the 5th wheel manufacturers have settled on the bathroom in the middle of 5th wheel trailers. The grey & blackwater tanks need to be over the axles.

We recently saw a MotorHome with a big rear bathroom plus a second toilet/sink room up by the living room. It was necessary because the slideouts on each side for the bedroom closed off the pathway to the bathroom when travelling. I thought it would be great when you have guests staying over night. They would have their own toilet to use.

At one time we saw a fiver it was a Fleetwood Regal it had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths but only could carry about 1,000 lbs so we would have had to throw most of our stuff away and nixed the idea of that one.

Oops, so sorry I wasn't clear.  The floorplan I had seen was a Class A Tiffin Phaeton 42QBH with a back bath.  My husband has been drooling over a Phaeton since we purchased our Allegro and out of curiousity I was checking them out.

We have a rear bath floor plan in our Fleetwood Revolution 40'. There is a half bath midway into the coach. The rear bath is huge, containing sink, shower, toilet, and tons of cabinet space. You could almost have a dance back there. Email to llg1952@gmail.com if wanting more information.

Most brands have a rear bath Class A rig. I'd try a couple hollers to the various owner's thread over on irv2 - click here - and you'll get some very specific owner's responses. The Tiffen thread is not too active but the Newmar and several other threads are very busy. Ask some generic questions - brand loyalty amnesia exists everywhere - and explore some outside your dream-cruiser to get a good balance.
