Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Researching EVERYTHING I can

Hello all,

I'm glad I found this site thanks to some HDT'ers...Yesterday I found an important item on this site.  TETON is falling back and regrouping......music to my ears, as that is what we were loking at for next year.  I'm looking forward to getting as much information as I can before retirement next July!!!!!!

My wife and I are looking forward to "fulltiming for as long as we can, and then settling down in "wherever USA".

Snowman...Sherri and I would like to welcome you to the Forum. Teton has always been well out of my price range but maybe with the new restructuring they will have some lower prices for us PO FOLKS. They do build a solid rig and it is one of the first "Full Time" rigs out there. No mater what you end up with...end up out there and happy. We hope to see you on the road...maybe in Kerrville for the "Gathering" or at our next Rally...location to be determined at a later date.

Welcome, Snowman,

You've found a great forum for information. The friendly folks here are more than willing to share their experiences with you. smile

If you can't find answers to your questions by doing searches, be sure to ask. And remember, there are no "dumb" questions here. Everyone has to start sometime.

Thank you everyone so far,

Just got off the phone yesterday with who we are working with on the RV selection. TETON is GONE!  The restructuring is for the portion that deals with Artic housing on the oil fields etc....

Anyway, sooooooo many questions to soooooo many topics.......

I just finished Howard's FAQ's, I think it's interesting how people are perceived by others.  Howard, you hit it on the nailhead, "rich" is only as the outside perceives you.  Next year, we also, will give up 6-figures, with that dollar figure comes the same heartaches as anbody else.  Just in a different scale.  The stress that is associated with the $$$$, is not worth going to the grave for.
I would much rather travel the country and see what it has to offer and enjoy the day, than continuing to get sucked back in the rat race.  My kids want to know what I'm going to do....I told them I'm opening a hot dog stand.

My wife commutes 57 miles each way daily, I (in the opposite direction, 28 miles)  we have the same commute times.  We both can see a better way of spending time on the road, if we are going to be on the road.

Also like "DINERS, DRIVE-INs, and DIVES"...so we've got a list going of a lot of places to see and eat at along the way to and fro, here and there, North and South.......

I'll be posting where I need to in each forum with lots of Q.s....see ya later....got to get back to the dread "W" word.
