Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, we took a look at an RV Park yesterday in Creede, CO. Check out the Journal entry Trip To Creede. We are considering Mountain Views RV Parkfor our 2009 RV-Dreams Rally.
Since we will be out west in early 2009, we will hold the rally somewhere in the west but not too far west.
We are looking at June 24 - 28 if we hold the Rally in Creede. So we just want some preliminary feedback on the location and dates. Tell us what you think. Thanks!
Howard, You and Linda have high standards so any place that ya'll decide on having a rally will be great. Colorado sounds great for June according to everyone. Speedy said it best that with the heat down here in Texas he's just about tired of reading about those waking up to 40 and 50 degree temps. I'm sure those of us down south would welcome anything away from this summer heat we have down here in June.

We're staying at Mountainview and I'm sorry we missed you! we've been here for the past week and a half and have enjoyed every minute of it. We haven't had to use the ac once and for the most part the days have been pleasant.
It's unfortunate that this weekend has been rainy. we usually have an afternoon shower and the sun comes back out.
if you like the outdoors, this is a good place to be

Well, obviously I like the place.....They treated us very well for the Rally we had there. The meals were very good - although what I would call family food. It depends on who you use to cater it.
For outdoor activities you can not beat the area.
We would probably be able to attend. I would volunteer to lead some trail runs for those who have 4x4 with LOW range. All would be county roads, so any high clearance vehicle could do it. The scenery is outstanding.
For after-rally activities there is unlimited stuff to do in the area.
If you do attend this rally (at this location) come fully stocked for the time you plan to spend in the area. There are no large stores within an hour drive. There is a very good grocery in Creede which has most things, but it is no Wal-Mart.

Howard, I think Creede will be a great location. Colorado in June is beautiful. Because of our current situation, I have no idea if we'll be able to attend but I think the location is excellent & the campground looks very nice.
The sites and facility look very good. It looks like a location the is well suited for the rally. If we are underway by then, we would be looking forward to it. Looks like a great place to spend a few days. With some good planning and grocery shopping beforehand, I think it would work out well.

Love Colorado. Our son lives at Carbondale, CO which is a few miles south of I-70 and just about straight north of Creede. They haven't used the a/c all summer. We camped at Redstone, CO in a National Forest campground this past summer after the RV-Dreams rally. Actually used the heat pump a few nights.
We should be able to make it.

Just let us know and we will be there. I have to be up there anyway to defrost RV Dude. He will be needing some help getting into that Chicken hat. I guess it will be too cool for my dress...but I bet Sherri comes up with some other great idea....on me.
We love Colorado and it will make a great place for the 2009 Rally. We will definately try our best to make it this year!!!

Life may not be the the Party we hoped for, but while we're here we should Dance!
Bummer, at the moment we see no possible way to make it this year. We're hoping to sell our condo by then. We also have a wedding in 2009. We'll meet up at future rally's when we get on the road. At least it's 2010 and not 2012 thanks to this years rally. Take pictures for us! Dee & Jim

Colorado would be a great place for a rally and Creede looks perfect. At this point we don't know if we'll be workamping or traveling, but it sure would be fun to be able to make it this year.

I'll post just to keep this one at the top of the list. We all are anxious about the next rally and I am sure as soon as Howard can put it together we will all get the news. You know Sherri and I are still available for ticket sale.
