Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello To All

Hi
I came across this site several weeks ago and now I find myself checking in just about every day so I think I should join.  The information I find here is invaluable for someone just starting out.

Right now I rent an RV several times a year for a couple of weeks for vacations.  My first time out in an RV and I was hooked.  Great people, casual lifestyle, this is something I want to do for a while.  In March of 09 I will start fulltiming.  I'm leaning toward the purchase of a 5th wheel, but that may change.  I've already reduced my worldy belongings to the contents of a cargo trailer parked at my sisters house in Fl.  So in March I will "hit the ground running".

As a side note. . . Howard and/or Linda if you happen to read this I think you have a really good site here.  I would imagine it's a great resource for a lot of people.  I'm sure it took a lot of work to set this up and even more work to maintain it.  Bravo!  (so I guess I better go buy a birdfeeder or a hat) Just kidding.

I hope you all stay safe in your travels and I look forward to seeing some of you in the future.

HI there Jim and welcome aboard.

We start fulltiming in February. We are now looking for a small cargo trailer to store those things we intend to keep. For some day we will buy a house again. No way would Len give up all his tools!

Hope all your plans come together.

Welcome Jim,

This is a great web site, and Howard and Linda have spent many hours on it.

There are also a lot great people on this forum who are ready and willing to help in any way they can. There's a ton of information here, but feel free to ask questions anytime.

Hope to see you on the road sometime,

Jim

Jim you have come to the right place for information. We have a wide array of folks out there that have years of knowledge in fulltiming. We have a lot of fun too and you always have a Dreamer close by in your travels. We are planning a get together in March of next year. This will not be our rally but a time to have fun and swap lies about our travels. Hope you can join us and if you have a chance set in on a chat session you can meet so many great people here...just go to the RV Dreams home page and look on the left side bar for Live Chat. Click it and sign in...see ya there

Thanks for the welcome.  I will be back in the states next month for two weeks renting an RV again and this time wandering around the Arizona area.  I was stationed in Phoenix about 25 years ago and have not been back to Arizona since.

For some reason I always find it interesting to go back to somewhere you used to live.  I wander around and re-live old memories.  I gives me a good feeling.
