Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Mammoth Cave

After the rally we are planning on heading into Kentucky.  One of our stops is Mammoth Cave.  What is the best tour to go on for someone who hasn't been there before but will be a good interduction to the cave.  We would probably be looking at a 4 hr. or less tour.  Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

We have been on most of the Cave tours and found them all very beautiful and different. There is a site that pretty well explains them all that you might find interesting: wwwmammothcave.com. You might want to make a reservation a couple of days prior to your visit since this is a very busy time of the year. Some are more strenuous than others, but if you are in reasonable condition there will be no problem.

Marty & Roz,

Thanks for the link.  I'm adding it to my future destinations folder.

Was just there a couple days ago. They have numerous tours from 45mins of cave intro (Frozen Niagara is the easy overview) to 10 hours of mud crawling. Campground on site apparently can hold anything and even has a couple of no-reserve hookup sites. Parking lot and approach roads can handle even me at 65ft w/o trouble.

We camped nearby about four years ago and made a day trip into Bowling Green to see the Covette factory and museum.  Both quite impressive.

Thanks for all of the good info.  We've decided to take the "New Entrance" tour.  We're looking forward to it.
