Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My wife Sharon and I have been camping since we got married. We started with a very used 1963 Starcraft popup. Those days were fun with the four kids and dog; setting up in heavy rain, cooking out over the fire, walking one of the kids in the middle of the night to the bath house !!! The memories are good , but I’m also glad we moved on too . I still have the popup , its a utility trailer now .
We’ve had a few trailers 22 foot to 33 ft . Then when the last child left the house, ( do they ever really leave ? ) around five year ago we bought a 1995 Winnebago 32 foot . Oh , what a thrill it was to drive in that . It was then I started to really think about going full time and retire as early as I could . Actually, I think the first time I can remember thinking about going fulltime was on Vacation to Disney with the kids and our golden Cody, driving there in a conversion van pulling a 33-foot weekend, we stopped for gas. Always an event in itself with bathroom calls (those years there was no time to waste to stop just for potty breaks, after all we only had a weeks vacation !!!!) Sorry for rambling on there. As I was filling up the tank I looked up and here comes a BIG class A pulling a jeep. Oh my, it was BIG and had shiny windows everywhere, Two air conditioners on the roof and did I mention it was BIG? Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better then this the door opens and without any effort the steps actually came out AUTOMATICALLY !!!!! At that exact time , I knew that some day , some how I’d get me one of those auto steps and maybe a rv too . ...
Sharon and I now have a 38 foot with two slide outs and everything goes as planned on the after my 55 birthday ( 22,NOV, 2009 ) we’ll be leaving to start our new life and adventure .

You didn't say, so I'm wondering, does that RV of yours have those AUTOMATIC steps?
Be sure to jump right in with any questions or answers.
