Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Today truly was the first day of the rest of my life. After years of dreaming and planning; today we left our hometown of the past 30 years and started out on our fulltime life. We had been living it the 5th wheel since we sold the house in September but, I was still working. My official retirement date is 12/31 but, my last day of work was 12/21. We are heading to Arizona and hopefully warmer weather.
What could be a better entry in to the fulltime life style than to have at our first night's destination to be met by RV Dreams Community forum members Jim and Ellie with a bottle of wine for us!!! Thanks Jim and Ellie!
I can still remember that feeling when we actually left on the first leg of our never-ending journey. The excitement was indescribable!!!

Time to add our congratulations and a big WOOOO HOOOO as well.
We have been corresponding for a long time now, and it makes our hearts swell when each of those that have discovered our site takes off on their fantastic journeys.
Remember to cherish every moment of this week. As great as the full-timing life is, there is nothing like that first week of freedom and realization of ultimate liberation.
Enjoy my friend and we will meet you down the road!

Thank you Howard and all for your good wishes! Yes, Howard we will meet somewhere down the road. However, we are headed to Arizona to spent winter and then Alaska next summer so it may be awhile before our paths cross. Our first week of fulltiming hasn’t been all that we hoped and certainly hasn’t been relaxing. I posted about our first few days on our blog at: BirdingRvers.blogspot.com under the title “The Mis-Adventures of Fulltiming!". We are spending the 4th and 5th days of our first week of fulltime visiting family which guarantees that it will be chaotic and un-relaxing. However, we will be meeting up with RV Dream forum regulars Luvglass and DreamJosie on New Year’s Eve in the California desert, and hopefully with Froggii not too long after that, so the fun and relaxing part of fulltimeing should be begin soon.
