Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We’ve been full timing for 8 months now and don’t see ourselves returning to a stick home anytime soon - so I figured it was finally time to stop lurking and get involved. We love reading RV Dreams as Howard and Linda are spending their days just like we would IF it were just the two of us.That season in our lives will come but for now, we are savoring travels geared towards our son’s interests. We are all really enjoying the adventure and are looking forward to all the places we still have to explore.
Glad you decided to join in. Why or how you RV or Full-time, doesn't make any difference on this site.
Jim

Welcome! Glad you introduced yourself. How old is your son? There are lots of folks out here full-timing with children. You might want to get a group going (there might already be one) and share ideas together. I have noticed a few on hitchitch (www.hitchitch.com) traveling with children. This is such a great opportunity for a child to "see" the history instead of just reading about it. A support group for homeschooling and full-timing would be great! Keep in touch and let us know how your travels are going. Good luck and travel safely.
Welcome to our world. This is the greatest family on wheels. Please share your thoughts with us all. It is so great to see and hear from so many folks that are living the dream. Hope all your roads are filled with new adventures.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I realize I didn't put many details about us in my introduction as I felt it would all be repeated when you visit our blog. Stephan is 43, Wagner is 9, and I am 47. The "Families on the Road" website has several families, including ours, listed and they also organize get togethers. I'm sure everyone is welcome as long as you don't mind being around kids! I would love to hear of more gatherings.
Welcome to the best forum around. Lots of very informative people here. I think it is great that you are home schooling your child. Our oldest son & his wife are doing the same with their oldest daughter. She is 9 yrs. old also. They just bought a used travel trailer this passed spring. They love camping. Again we are so glad you have joined us. Safe travels. We hope to meet you some day on the road.
