Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Wondering if some of you full timers have Thanksgiving plans for next month. Nothing for sure here but will be where its warmer. southwestjudy & Bob & 2blackdogs
We will be with friends who are like family in Jacksonville, Florida this year. Other years we often find an Escapees park and join the big Thanksgiving meal.

We've done Thanksgivings with the Escapees and have had great meals with a lot of great people. This year, we'll be at a small RV park in Florida where they put on a great feast.
There's really no substitute for family though.

We'll be having a potluck with about a dozen neighbor couples in our snowbird RV park. The park itself puts on a dinner but charges $20 a person, so last year we decided to have our own potluck. It was fantastic food and great fun, and was the start of monthly "themed" parties. We had Italian, Mexican, St. Patrick's, Western BBQ through the winter. Having Thanksgiving dinner outside on the patio is a new experience for those of us that have spent most of our lives living somewhere where we were often shoveling snow on Thanksgiving!!!!
Our Thanksgiving turkey will be served up in Florida @ Disney, where we will be chasing after our Grandchildren on their first trip to see Mickey and Minnie !!!

We will spend Thanksgiving with our extended family at Escapees Rainbow Plantation in Summerdale, AL. This will be our first Thanksgiving at an Escapees Park and I hear that they are a great feast with wonderful fellowship.

Right now we are planning on being at Escapees Rainbow Plantation in Summerdale, Al as well. Hope to see you there Darrell and Judy. We leave Williamsburg, VA on 11/1 and start slowly making our way down there and then across 10 to Livingston and then on down to RGV.
We'll be at Voyager RV resort in Tucson. Probably treat it as just another day, since we're leaving for a family vacation down in Puerto Vallarta the Saturday following. Our real Thanksgiving will be being with the kids and grandkids for a week. Fred
We'll be volunteering at the Escapee CARE center in Livingston Tx Nov. & Dec. so thats where we will be spending our Thanksgiving and Xmas. It's our 1st time there so we really don't no what to expect. Anyone in the area please stop by and say hello.
We will be in Rockport, Texas. This is our first Thanksgiving as full timers, and we hope to be celebrating with some friends who have a site at a private park there. We'll be staying at The Lagoons.
We'll be heading to Glamis, CA as we do every year along with about 300,000 other to play in the sand. Then were back to the stick house until the 30th at 5PM when we start out FT life.

We're not fulltimers but we are going to camp that week. We are planning on going to Stonelick State Park. It is about an hour east of Cincinnati. It is only 20 minutes for us. Our son has school 2 of the days. They have several sites right on the lake. No reservations can be made starting November so hopefully we get there soon enough. My parents are just 10 minutes from the campground. Will probably have Thanksgiving at their house.
Our first Thanksgiving on the road. Plan to be in Myrtle Beach for a few days at that time as we are heading for Florida. We are having a diner with some family before we leave Pa.
We have to continue with our present jobs until we can hit the road road June 1 but we plan to take a trip to the Smokey Mountains - Townsend Tenn.with one of our daughters and our only grandson for a few days during Thanksgiving holidays.

As part of our plans to investigate the idea of fulltiming in a RV, we have arranged rental of a 40' Holiday Rambler for thanksgiving week. The plan is to do down to my sisters home in Charlotte where the family will meet for the holiday. If anyone has a suggestion for a RV park in the Charlotte area that is good I would appreciate it. Additionally we will be traveling from NJ, so any outstanding suggestions along the way for a stop would be good. We are not looking for anything overly fancy, just good metrics of what to expect on average. Thanks in advance. -- Bruce

We are just going for broke as Firstimers and Fulltimers simultaniously.
We have stayed at the Fleetwood Camping Resort in Concord, NC. It's nothing fancy, but if your sister lives on the North or East side of the city, it would be a good place to stay.
The people in the office were very friendly and helpful and the park was well maintained.
Hope you have a great trip.

Well the great thing about this lifestyle is the flexibility - we have decided we are going to Texas sooner and plan to be at TT Lake Conroe on 11/18/07 so will either spend Thanksgiving there or with friends in Canton, Tx or relatives in San Antonio.
We are also going to be in Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving on our way to Florida. We are staying at the Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Let us know if you'd like to get together! Gina Rau
This will be the first Thanksgiving in many, many years that Richard will not have to work. And will have the Friday off also. Since we are moving on the 20th, and our daughter is coming in on the 21st, we are not cooking. We are going to a friends house to spend it with her and her inlaws. Hopefully we will catch our son online and can chat with him (he is deployed to the big sandbox). Looking forward to a relaxing day!
