Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Life On Wheels

Does anybody know why Life On Wheels was cancelled in Pennsylvania this year?  Mike and I were thinking that we would like to attend the LOW in Pennsylvania next year (2008) but I don't want to get all excited and they cancel again.  Are some better than others?  The timing in Pa is perfect for us.
Thanks ya'll.

not enough people registered for the event, so it was canceled.

Next year they will try again, only they are moving the event to the Harrisburg farm show arena. (where the big RV sale was before it moved to Hershey)

When we were LOW instructors last year, we were told that they had trouble getting enough attendance in PA, and there were rumors of possible cancellation.  Since I don't deal in rumors, I won't speculate as to whether it might be permanent or not.  smile

With the Arizona to Kentucky to Idaho to Pennsylvania to Iowa schedule each year, the circuit is very tough for the core instructors.  And PA usually had the lowest attendance.  So I think it may be the most expendable location right now.

Since last year, management/ownership of LOW has changed a little.  There may be a few scheduling changes over the next few years and maybe even a new location or two.

D and J are probably right about them trying PA again next year.  But any conference is subject to cancellation any year if there are not enough signed up.

And yes, some conferences are better than others.  The Idaho conference is where it all started and they have by far the most course offerings.  But the smaller ones are less overwhelming.  smile

Not all instructors teach at all locations, so the course schedules can vary a bit.  But you will get what you need at any of them.  Good luck!
