Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well it's been four and a half months, NOW THE CONTRACT IS SIGNED, keep your finger's crossed that all goes well. We will close on October 19th if all goes well and since it's late in the season and getting close to the holidays we will remain in Maryland until December 28th. I will continue to work also until the end of December. The plan then is head to Florida, I made reservations there back in April, I gambled the house would sell, I was starting to sweat it. Gummy

Great news. I checked your blog yesterday and felt bad when I didn't see any news about the house. But no news is now good news. Your plans sound great. Best wishes in your new adventure.

YAY!!! Great news Gummy!!! We certainly know how it feels to have that contract. Yours sold a lot faster than ours. It took us a year and a half and we close on the 25th of October. Still haven't made any concrete plans where we're going for the winter. We weren't expecting to sell but isn't that when things usually happen?
Thanks to all you great guy's and gal's, when thing's happen they happen fast and now the work begins. We'll be staying in Florida from Jan. to end of March We have good friends there and we would like to spend some time with them. Thanks again and keep your fingers crossed. Gummy

Hey Gummy, we are so very excited for you!!! The news sounds great.
debken, great news for you guys also!!
Froggi, I didn't realize you had a contract on your house!!! Where have I been and how did I miss this good news? Anyway, a belated congratulations to you also.
This is great news, maybe this is a "sign of the times" for our RV Dreams family members with houses to sell. I sure hope so.
We found the contract period to be very stressful. We were all excited but, not wanting to get our hopes up until it was over and trying to get everything out of the house before the close. Our buyers were wonderful; their only request was that we close by the 21st.
Today we are houseless!!! Transfer of deed has been recorded and the money is in the bank. WHAT A RELIEF!!!
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS, Grant!! I know how stressful that period can be...in my case it all falls back to my buyers, buyers, buyer and her being able to close on the 29th. If she buys house C, then the owner of house C can buy house B and the owner of house B can buy my house! Phew!!
The poor realtor is trying to get all three closings done on the same day...and I won't be here. I'll be arranging for that before I leave....I'll either sign everything before I go or will arrange to be at a spot long enough to get it handled via next-day mail. Just keeping my fingers crossed that all goes as planned!
Congrats on your sale Grant, I know I'll breath a heck of a lot easier when it's all said and done., It gives me the willies, amongst other things. Thanks everyone. gummy

I love it when plans come together, what a great feeling. We had a couple of tense moments during our sale when the inspection turned up some things that had to be fixed before the buyer could complete the deal. But our buyer was as anxious to have our house as we were to not have it, so we all hung in there and worked it out.
