Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well, we have spent five nights in our new fifth wheel. It has been fabulous!! We took delivery on Aug 22. We are so happy with our Americana. The quality of workmanship is wonderful. Several of our "stick" house neighbors took the tour when we were parked out front of the house loading up all our stuff. Everyone thought it was really nice. I even impressed my Mother---and that is not easy to do. She made the comment that "she" could handle camping in our fifth wheel!!
My hubby and I just can't stop smiling at one another. We leave for South Dakota around Sept 7th to establish residency and do some sight-seeing. We currently are camping on the Tippecanoe River in Delphi Indiana. We have a 2-acre wooded lot there that has been in my family for 50yrs----very nice and FREE---except for the electric bill. Come November we will head south.
My web site is where you will find my blog. There I'll tell you about the first couple of days and I have also posted some pics. I will try to update daily, but right now my internet access is limited so it might be a day or two between post. I eventually want to get satellite, but we need to put some money back first. Debbie and Bill Goode
Congratulations! We started full-timing on August 23, 2004 and have put over 28,000 miles on our Titanium since then and way, way more than that on our truck.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your new home is beautiful! I know you are just sooooo excited. Your blog and photos are great, enjoyed reading and looking. Congrats on your son's accomplishments, we understand that feeling so well. We have one son also and he is a senior in college doing very well. Have fun and travel safely! Mike and Gerri
Nice pix. Debbie. I am jealous. we still cannot do anything until our house sells and I must say, THE HOUSING MARKET SUCKS. my apology.. just when we finally know what we want for our future and thought that our home would sell quickly just 7 blocks from the beach, guess what.. NO Bites.. 2 more weeks and we take it off the market and try again after the holidays.. Enjoy your new home..
Thanks everyone for the congrats and well wishes. Glad you are enjoying the pics and blog. I enjoy the writing and it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the day.
I know the housing market is bad right now---we too have a house to sell. We will now probably wait until spring. We are lucky in that we could go ahead with our RV dream, but will be glad to be out from under the "demands" of a "stick-n-brick" home.
Again, we are looking forward to our first big "road trip" to South Dakota. Will keep you all updated as best I can. I miss not being able to do the "chat room" in the evenings, as you know we are without internet in our present location. I have to go to "stick-n-brick home" to get online. Such a pain!! I'm looking forward to the day when our budget will allow for a satellite.
Anyway, thanks again for the congrats and I really appreciate those of you who take the time to check out my web site and blog.
