Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Gonna Be

I have been on chat a few times, love the journal so thought I would go ahead and introduce myself.
I currently live in Troy,Mo and for 32 years I worked in the I.T. profession and trained dogs in my spare time.   In 2002 I retired from all of that and began training dogs all of the time and working at shelters.
My husband and I have decided to go with the RV thing as soon as he retires.  Our thought is to travel for a year to see where we want to retire and if we even like RVing or not.  We are not sure when we are going to hit the road but if it was up to me I would say as soon as we could sell the house,  but he is the practical one and he says to wait for awhile yet.  In the mean time I am going to continue training dogs and prepare to go!

Hi Doris,
Welcome aboard. We are also gonnabees. I am still working in IT, and as we get closer and closer to fulltiming it becomes more and more intolerable. I've gone from being RV-Dreaming to RV-Obsessed! Anyway, this is a great forum and a great bunch of people, so once again welcome!

Welcome to the forum. There's a great bunch of people here just waiting to answer all of you're questions. (At least we'll try!) biggrin

Don't wait too long to go Full-timing. You never know what waits around the corner. Do it while you can!

Hi Doris,  As everyone says, this is the best forum.  You will find so much information.  My husband and I hope to start part timing next spring.  I retired in June and DH next summer.  So welcome Doris, maybe I'll get to meet you next June at the Rally in Branson.

Lois
