Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

campground around Asheville NC

We plan to camp in the Asheville, NC area in mid-October.  Could anyone recommend a campground?  We have a 35ft Excel with Fl-60 Freightliner so would need some room to get in.  Thanks.

Two years ago we stayed at the Creekwood Farm RV Park in Waynesville for a week.   From there we visited Asheville, the Biltmore, Smokey Mountain National Park, etc.  We have a 40'DP and had no problems.  We were there in July...don't know what October would be like.

Have fun!

Thanks for the info.  We will probably be making reservations very soon for our trip in Oct.  We are glad you had a good experience while camping there and
appreciate getting your recommendation.

I have heard that Mountain Stream RV Park is very nice.  It is a small park and they don't offer swimming pools or "resort" type things, but just a quiet, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  They are in Marion, NC, which is just a stone's throw away from Asheville.

We have stayed a couple of times at Asheville Bear Creek RV Park. It is very near Biltmore House and close to interesting parts of the city.

If I remember correctly, they have short term and long term sites. We stayed there in a 5er and a DP with no problems.
