Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Going on "feelings"

Howard,

After reading your June 26th and 27th Journals this morning, I felt I needed to make a comment.

First of all, feelings about a place, RV park, person, or situation are part of what makes every one of us different, and we really can't control them. We all have feelings about all of the above, whether we want to admit it or not. Sometimes the feelings are good, other times, not so good.

It wasn't too long ago, that we pulled into a RV park for a 1 night stay. The park's first impression, was very nice. It appeared to be clean and well laid out. (The kind of park we would normally be happy in). But I felt uneasy from the moment we dove through the entrance. It was just a "feeling".

We did not stay at that park. The "feeling" was just too strong. We moved on to the next park down the road. I still don't know what it was about that park that bothered me.

On the other hand, the first time I logged onto this web site, I had a very good feeling. I can't explain it, I just had that "good feeling".

I guess the point I am trying to make, is that we can't control our feelings. When you went to Mesa Verde, you had a "feeling", and you were right to write about it. It would not be right to try to hide your feelings as that would take some of the honesty out of your journal, and I feel that is part of why this is such a great site. You don't hide anything, and you let everyone know how you and Linda "feel" about your experiences.

Keep up the good work,

Jim

RE: Going on "feelings"

I have to agree....a blog or journal is "all about YOU" and should contain your thoughts and feelings. It's meant to share YOUR experiences, not tell others what to think. Not everyone out there wants the crowds & tourists....not everyone wants to travel the same roads as the majority. I thoroughly enjoyed it....thank you for sharing.

Having met Linda and Howard they are very honest people and should write about they're adventures just as they see it, now dont all good writers do just that.smile
