Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I guess it's about time to overcome my fear of posting and say hello to you all. I've been following Howard and Linda's adventures from the beginning after seeing the article in the Louisville newspaper. This sight is addictive and my morning is not complete without reading the latest journal entry. You guys are an inspiration!
My husband and I have signed up for the rally next summer and are really looking forward to it. We are at the age (53 & 52) where we are beginning to think about how we would like to spend the rest of our lives. Eventual full-timing is an option but part-timing is more probable. Especially since my husband's job might allow him to work via internet, phone etc. and he is not quite ready for retirement. We have three wonderful grown children (and two "in-laws") but no grandchildren and now we feel like we need an adventure of our own. Right now we have a 25' travel trailer which we've enjoyed using on several short jaunts. That might have to be upgraded to something else if we were on the road very much. DH has just purchased a motorcycle and we hope to combine some riding with the rv-ing. I think the mid-life crisis has finally set in!
Thank you Howard and Linda for providing this wonderful website and letting so many of us "lurkers" be inspired by your lifestyle and your passion. I am looking forward to meeting you guys. Keep up the good work and most importantly have fun!
Nice to meet y'all! Janet (aka BeamerCat) P.S. Beamer is our 18 lb Bengal fur child

Hello Janet. Welcome to the best forum on the WEB. We all look forward to your input and if we can help you please feel free to post. You will like all the folks on this site. They have been helpful to me and they will help you too.
Welcome aboard, glad you posted. Found it interesting that your husband may work out of the RV. I'm going to do that in the coming months, just need good internet connection. Best of luck as you spend more time on the road.
Hi Janet, Welcome to the best forum on the web. This family is a bunch of nice folks, very helpful, smart and respectful. I've been following H & L almost from the get go and one of the first things I do daily is check their forum and journal. Got to keep up with what's happening.
Howard and Linda are special people as you have figured out. We won't buy a MH unitl 2009, but I am learing a lot and having fun and making friends while doing it.
See you in the chat room.
George

There are a few of us in the same age bracket looking forward to some permutation of part-time/full-time. It's so nice to know all are welcome here.
I drove through So Indiana (en route from So OH to Arizona) with 2 little kids-SO Indiana is beautiful, much like So OH! Always before we had taken the I-70 route, it's so nice to get off the interstate and really SEE a place!
