Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

HI this is Mac

Hello everyone,
You all can call me Mac.  I recently just got back from 6 months in Spain about a month ago, and I am used to traveling a lot.  When I was there I lived in Madrid, but Traveled to Barcelona, Malaga, the Canary Islands, Toledo, and Segovia.  I went out of Spain to visit Paris, Toulouse, Budapest, Prague, Lisbon, Geneva, Amsterdam, and a small town in Germany.

I am working in PA right now, but I have trouble being in one place for too long.  Since I have been home I have mostly, only had the weekends free, but so far I have managed to make it out west to California, where I grew up, for 5 days.  I absolutely love it there and there is always so much to do.  I have also gone to Lake George for a extended weekend with some friends.  It is gorgeous up there.  I plan on making a trip to the Pocono’s for some water rafting sometime soon.  I am working during the week so I plan on traveling on the weekends as much as I can.  I enjoy being close to the water, fishing and hiking.  Staying active is important to me.  Well that is enough info about me.

Welcome Mac from another forum newbee. I'm not RVing yet, but hopefully soon. Like you I have itchy feet....haven't lived at one physical address longer than 3 years since I graduated high school in 1965. LOL!!

So what do you travel/camp in?

Hi Mac! I too have traveled the world...Thanks to Uncle Sam. However, the places I visited were not those that I would have chosen at a travel agency. I will say this, the traveling that I do now is much more relaxing. You will like this forum. We love to hear about great adventures!

Hello, nice to meet you all. Sounds like this forum will be a lot of fun. When I was traveling through Europe, I was staying in hostels and cheap hotels with a few friends. While I was over there, it made me want to travel in the US even more. I have done a speedy road trip from Connecticut to Northern California, for 11 days last summer, but I plan on staying on the East coast this summer. I have been using my family’s old pop up trailer, but I hope to have something more in a few years. Any ideas? Suggestions on where in the east check out?

Mac
