Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Fulltimin & Loving It

Hi Ya'll.  We're Darrell & Sally Patton. Orignally we're out of the BIG TOWN of Hesperia, MI. (pop 800). We gave everything to the kids that they wanted and then sold everything at auction, even the real estate.
Been fulltiming now for 10 years. We DO NOT miss our stick house. We do miss our many friends of 60 plus years. But unlike them we did not want to sit at home and just wait to die.
Or 4 children, 22 grandchildren, many great-grand children are in our thoughts everyday, I almost hate to hear of a full moon anymore as that means another is on the way. Many phone calls and emails keep us up on family news.
2 years ago June 29th while we were manageing a park in Michigan, near home, Sally had a stroke. Miracles of miracles I was with her at the time and shoved a couple of aspirins down her throat (really she swallowed on her own) and she came out of the stroke with just short term memory loss and weakness on the left side. Our management days as a team is over but we now Workamp and things are going quite well. She is now cleaning, showers, restrooms & etc and I'm doing maintenance. She can do her job in about 3 or 4 hours and then she is whipped and goes home and rests up for the next day.
This summer we are in Crazy Horse, SD at Heritage Village Campground, which is part of the Crazy Horse ongoing sculpture. Our first time in the Black Hills but Lord willing, it won't be our last, it is beautiful here. We actually have Sat & Sundays off this summer, WOW!!
Fishing & hunting, photography and writing are my hobbies. Sally's hobbies have now changed and she does whatever she thinks she can do. She likes looking at the buffalo, wild burros, big horn sheep. mountain goats, deer an whatever else I'm trying to capture on film.

Hello Darrell and Sally! We are so glad to have you join us here. Sherri and I will take a look at your blog. We have been following the Wishnies (Lovglass) and H&L for some time and really love them both. I think you will like this forum and we hope to hear from you often.

Sherri and Joe   biggrin
