Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We think we have found the one for us for fulltimeing, the Tuscany by Damon, they have two floor plans we like, the one we like best, the 4076 has a smaller shower, even though there is plenty of room for a larger one like in the 4072. So now we have to decide again. Anyone have thoughts on re doing the shower or special ordering a larger unit? http://www.damonrv.com/motorhomes/tuscany/floorplans
I guess I would ask the question, have you tried that shower out? Did you take your shoes off and get in? Move around, make all the motions you would when you shower. How does it feel. Do you bump your elbos? Can you bend over and pick somthing up off the floor without pushing the door open. Sounds funny but this is what you need to do to find out if this is the shower for you. Same with the potty room. Can you make all the moves without banging the walls? When you get out of the shower do you have enough room to finish drying off. How much of that room would you lose if you had a larger shower. Maybe this will help. It helped us make that choice on our 5th Wheel. The more time you can spend in that coach before you buy it the more you can learn about what you like and don't like. So many see the pretty and then realize too late that they don't have enough Kitchen counter top to make a sandwich. Good luck to you, we are all pulling for you.
I downloaded the brochure by giving them a junk name and address since I don't want a salesperson calling or mailing us. I see you can get heat pumps as an option, I always recommend that one. It is nice to have electric heat and heat pumps are your air conditioners running in reverse so they are more efficient than space heaters. One heat pump will keep you warm to about 45 outside and two to about 30 outside. We are in central CA on 30AMP and have used no propane except to run the stove with nights into the high 40s and days sometimes into the low 80s. Most heat pumps are now wired to the thermostat so when it goes below 30 degrees outside they run the furnace as "auxilary heat". They also are not telling you the CCC (cargo carrying capacity) for this motorhome and I can calculate at as about 2,300lbs for the 4072, just adequate for a full-timer, and 2900 for the 4076. Full-timers need between about 2000 and 3000 lbs of CCC for themselves and everything they take with them. A real unit will have a sheet by the driver or in the kitchen with the CCC listed. Being overweight is unsafe. These units must be talking to you to get so excited. I hope it just not the price that is talking to you. Hopefully you did get to see the real floorplans in the showroom.

Thanks, yes I tried out the shower, it is tight, mostly because of the built in seat, hard to turn around in, okay if you sit down to wash, the CCC is 3300#s according to the lable in the kithchen and I did get a quote from RV pricebustes that includded the two heatpumps for about $63,000 less then the MSRP.
We have looked extensively at this and the Astoria. For our affordability, the Astoria is at the right price. We have only one dealer, about 3 hours away. We made the trip on Saturday, amidst the tornado, rain and flood warnings just to dream and see how it fit. We do love the 5 slides on the new Tuscany but it is not in our price range. We are hoping to purchase next spring and use it on the weekends for now. We hope that in 10 years, we are still really kinda young, we will have enough saved to retire on and the MH will be paid for completely. I am glad you are thrilled with this maker.
