Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RE: Your age when you started Full-timing

We moved into our rig full-time back in July of 2007. At the time, I was 56 and DW just turned 56 within a matter of days of going full-time, July 8th. I turned 57 on Nov 11th.

Wow! I thought WE were young when we started. You folks in your early 40s and 30s amaze me! Good for you for choosing life over stress! My husband and I hit the road December 29, 2004 and we were 55 and 46, respectively. We are still having a ball!

We've been planning and researching for about two years now and have learned a lot!  Pretty much narrowed down our potential choices to five or six fifth wheel manufacturers.
I will be retiring in February of 2010 - I'll be 55 and my wife will be 51.

Only 757 days...but who's counting...lol

I just received a phone call from my son telling me that i am 61 years old today, but as usual i forgot my birthday again. I have purchased my RV and am waiting for my house to sell so i can set out on the road to unknown adventures. I just had about 12 real estate agents come check out my house from Coldwell, and they couldn't believe a single guy would keep his home so clean and nice looking. That's all well and good, so now get it sold LOL. So, i will be 61 when i set out sometime this year. Happy camping!!

Well I don't know if I just assumed everyone knew this about us, or if I thought I had already replied in this thread.  At any rate, we were both 41 when we moved into our fifth wheel.  smile
