Cold Water Trickle from Shower Head
(closed)
(Preview)
When we shower, we push the button on the top of the shower head to decrease the water flow while we soap up. There is a trickle of cold water & when we turn the water back on to rinse, the water is always very cold for several seconds. This has happened with all of our campers. Does anyone know why th...

We have been fulltime 7 years now!
(Preview)
While researching the fulltime life style we learned so much by reading what Linda & Howard and may others shared about the life style so now one time per year we do a analysis of some of our costs and experiences and share them as well in hope we can also be of some type of help to someone. Sort of payin...

The on going Class A or 5th wheel topic
(Preview)
The debate between a 5th wheel or a Class A has gone on for ever and will probably go on forever more but now that we have full-timed in 2 different Class A's for over 6 years and have now switched to a 5th wheel for the last 6 months we thought we would do a blog post on how we feel about he two. In case you are inte...

Where to register an RV when you are a non-resident?
(Preview)
Aloha everyone...I have a very peculiar situation to query you with: I live in Hawaii, and am preparing to purchase an RV to full-time in the continental US. My question is this, which state or states allow you to register your rig without having to be a resident! Mahalo for any and all information.

If you are thinking of fulltiming.....
(Preview)
My husband and I were fulltimers for 8 years. We started in 2009 but were stationary that year due to still being employed. We retired and hit the road in February 2010. We came off the road fulltime in December 2016 when we bought a house. Below are things to think about..... from our experience. ...

Under the bed storage
(closed)
(Preview)
I'd love to know how others manage the under-the-bed storage area. I know I'm wasting a lot of space. When we live in it full-time, we may need to replace the mattress with something more substantial and wonder if that would make it very difficult to get to the storage area under it.

Full Time Travails
(Preview)
So today we made a 5 hour move from Illinois to Minnesota. When we arrived in MN it was raining cats and dogs. Got out, got good and wet, then came inside and took a hot shower. No doubt, this was the worst arrival we have had in our two years of full timing. But, now that I think about it ... if this is the wo...

Should we think about carrying a gun
(

(closed)
(Preview)
This makes me a little nervous -- but then so did driving a 40' Class A until I did it a coulple of times. We are considering taking classes, going to the range and getting up to speed again on owning and using a gun. How many of you have one and why? Is it something you would recommend? Thanks Randy and Pam

Our Cost of Owning a Motorhome
(Preview)
The Rangers are at the end of an era. We are moving from our gas powered motorhome to a diesel pusher. We have been perfectly happy with our Monaco LaPalma 34SBD but after owning it for six years it's time for a change. Yes, I got "RV envy" when my brother-in-law got a diesel pusher. I want to be clear th...

Having been a member of this forum since I first started researching full-time RV living, back in June 2013, I always appreciated people who would do year end summary blog posts. The Dental Saga Continues
(Preview)
Let me apologize for the rant but I have to say the part I hate most about living on the road is getting decent dental care. Lee even says if we could figure out how we would swing by New Hampshire every year just for that but with our travel plans that's really not possible. The last time I talked about this...

Full Timers mind set
(Preview)
Been full time for 10 months now and I've been reflecting on the advice that full timers should attempt to avoid the mind set of "being in vacation mode". It's a worthy observation, but for us, it's not like that. We travel because we want to see things and explore places ... you know, like a vacation. ...

Fifth wheel with a den or not
(Preview)
For those of you who have been ft for a while. If you do not have a den, if you were to buy a new trailer would you get one with a den. And I'll ask the opposite, if you have one would you opt for one without if you were to buy again. Just wondering if it would be an asset for separation for the spouse at times. Just s...

South Dakota License renewal

Due to Dale's art show schedule, we are always planning our travel routes 4-10 months in advance. Knowing th...

A question and potentially provocation for the experienced full-timers! Just a retired guy with a dog and cat, wants to tour the country visiting zoos and museums. Figure a few days to a week in each location.
