MASA

Hi all,

Not sure if this is in the right category but I just went to a MASA talk and wanted to know if anyone else has MASA, have you used it or heard of anyone using it.

I am looking for the bad and good.

How does it compare to FMCA Assist?

Thanks in advance.  If you would like to email me - gardenhavens@gmail.com - and put MASA in the subject line.

Thanks in advance.

First of all, welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  You will generally find lots of answers here in the forums and on Howard and Linda's overall website.

First time I've even heard of MASA.  If you are referring to MASA medical transport, then you have placed it in the right category.  If you are referring to masa meaning "dough" in Spanish, and thus cooking related, then it would need to be in another category.

I'm presuming you mean the medical transport, since you also mentioned FMCA assist.

Thanks Terry for the welcome.

Yep, I do mean the Medical Transport.  Seems like a great "program" but for us, it is a little pricey.  The gentleman who gave the presentation was good - but he was a salesman.  I decided to try to get more info from the RV world.  Especially from those who have used it...

Thanks again,

Diane Hitzel

Skymed and MASA are the main competitors and both sell to the RV world. In the past you could get a lifetime MASA membership, which gave many piece of mind and was the choice for friends. That was not available with Skymed. Both are more full featured than FMCA's offering, giving you more choice of where you are transported to, etc. But the FMCA offering is much cheaper and does the job for many. Both Skymed and MASA will badmouth FMCA assist, often trying to scare you. But, realize how much money they spend to recruit new customers, money that your fees are paying for. If you have pre-existing conditions, check the fine print on the contracts, including FMCA assist.
