Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Update on PIEERE 7/23/14

I got back, TN. Sunday the 20th. Left on the :1st to visit family in NY And MIchigan. This past Monday had an MRI scan on my neck and right shoulder. X-rays in June shown degenerative discs in C-3 to C-7 and a fracture in my right shoulder; don't remember hurting it. The old heart seems to be ok; not getting sharp pain as often.See the Cardio in Oct. Now Waiting on the scan results. Guess the doctors are building a bionic man out of me. Maybe I'll be the next RoboCop! Lol.

No matter what your health problems may be:

Everyday when you wake up, and are still breathing, is proof that God is not done with you yet.

Hang in there.

Glad the heart is ok. As I'm learning myself, if it's not 1 thing, it's another. Was supposed to have surgery this Tuesday for a hip that dislocated 4 times, but it was postponed first due to a pressure ulcer and now due to severe anemia. Tomorrow I need an iron infusion and B-12 shots I'll have to administer myself. This was not expected at all, so I know the feeling of wanting to treat one thing and finding all these other things wrong.

Hang in there, Ed - you continue to be my inspiration for getting through the day!

Thanks for checking back in, Ed.  It's been quiet around here.

Glad to see that the heart seems to be doing well.  Now, we'll pray for the other aspects of your health as well.

Terry

RoboPieere here, the right shoulder joint has a torn cartilage in the rotator cuff with impingement and mild tendonitis. My neck has mild disc degeneration, disc bulge and spondylosis (whatever this means). Moderate narrowing of c-3,4,5 and less between 5&6. They suggest Orthoepedic and Neurosurgery consultation. I may just continue with the meds, tens unit and exercise theraphy. I read that some injections they have to use for surgery have risks of heart problems. Thanks for the responses as this old single guy don't have many people I will talk to about this.

I can only imagine the pain you must be in! Wish there was something other than sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery and for the doctors to find the best treatment plan for you.

As many have said before, "this getting older isn't for sissies!"

It is frustrating when it seems like the issues are "piling up", but I'm always grateful when they can name the problem and recommend options for repair. It's those "we don't know what's wrong" issues that freak me out!!

Keep us posted, we miss you when you're gone .

Hi folks,   I am my new to the forum and so excited as we are in the planning process for full timing in two years.    This site has already been extremely helpful and will no doubt be invaluable to us as we move forward.  While we do hope to do some extensive travel when we go on the road full time, one of our reasons for full timing is so we can be near each of our children for a few months at a time each and then winter in a warm climate.  One thing that does weigh heavy on my mind is that I have a chronic pain issue brought on by shingles and have an implanted medical device that supplies morphine to the nerves continually.  My pump has to be refilled roughLy every 90 days, a procedure that has to be completed in a doctors office.  I realize the fact that we are dealing with pain management adds a whole new level of complication, nonetheless, does anyone have any experience with this type of thing?  Ideally it would be awesome if it were possible to get doctors to work together so I can get my pump refilled wherever I am at rather than having to return home every 3 months for this procedure But due to the level of specialization I don't know if that will be possible or not.  At the end of the day, we will do what we have to do but if anyone has any experience in this area or advice, I would be eager to hear.    Looking forward to getting much advice and info on here.
