Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Mike, would love the opportunity to meet up but I will not be at the show until Saturday 1/20 (still have a J...O...B .... but that is history 3/31). Pat and I first met up with Howard and Linda last year after the Tampa show.It was a riot, our friends thought we were nuts inviting total strangers we met on the internet to our house. We had a good laugh about that with Howard and Linda (after we mutually determined there were no serial killers among us).
I do have an alternative if you are interested. I will be taking Pat, my daughter-in-law and Grandson to the airport Thursday around 6 PM. If you are still going to be around we could meet up around 7PM at the Cracker Barrel at Lazy Days at Exit 10 off I -4.
Send me a Private Message via the forum and we can exchange email and cell phone numbers if that works for you. If not maybe we'll meet up on down the road. I am Junking the Corporate gig and Pat and I are moving into the MH March 31st and will be near Full timing the rest of the year.

We will be at the Supershow on Saturday also. Dress warm, looks like its going to be a cool day with temps in the 60's. Yeah, winters are rough here in Fla! LOL

We were there Wed and Thursday. Had a WONDERFUL time. Unfortunately didn't see this post in time to join in the "meeting". We were able to talk to a lot of fulltimers at some of the vendor booths. Soooooooo many new things to see and think about. Highly recommend going if you're in the area.

We were there Thursday and walked our feet off! We also had to drive 300 miles round trip to get there and back the same day! That is one big show. We focused on 5th wheels for the most part and came away more confused than before!
So far we have narrowed our choices down to HitchHiker Discover America, Mobile Suites, Excel, Carriage Cameo, Travel Supreme, Forest River/Americana! Boy do we have a lot of work to do to narrow down that list!
Once that decision is made then it's on to what tow vehicle to choose!!
We went on Thursday as planned. Didn't get to "meet up" but that is an idea to hold onto.
We did enjoy the show. We mostly wanted to visit the vendor areas, as there are a couple of "unique items", things I can't find at Home Depot. I use that opportunity to renew the emergency road service. The show special is 13 months for the price of 12. Never had an insurance plan (ERS) that more completely paid off.
I also get the chance to quiz some factory reps. I checked with the CAT booth and found that ultra low sulfur diesel will not be an issue with my older diesel engine. I found out King Dome/Trac Vision supports HiDef but only through satellite switching and they could NOT get ESPN HiDef, because they can't skew it, etc. Those kinds of things make it worth while. You know, the "Horse's Mouth" factory source.
Friends we met there took the opportunity to visit the tour operators. They could compare tour companies on site and shop show specials(???).
We also visited the Monaco and Country Coach and Alpine coach displays. But, ... we both had no desire to walk in and out of hundreds of rigs, so we had a good day.
It was interesting that Newmar was rallying at the show as well as some other clubs.
