Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Buying a RV

Bob and I just got back from Lazy Days RV Center in FL., They have over 1,2oo new and used RV's.  You have to see this place. They have a RV park with 300 spaces with full hook ups. A camping world, a cracker barrell and a flying j all on their property.  We stayed there for a week had free breakfast and lunch everyday but Sunday.  There RV's are never locked because they have 24 hr security, so we took our time and looked over all their RV.s. The third day we got together with a salesman, had aready picked out one we wanted but looked at all the 5th Wheels again.  We had a 04 39ft cardinal and decided it was too big for us.  We drive a HD2500 dodge 4x4.  We picked out a 33ft Everest by KeyStone.  Once you pick out what you want they park your rigs face to face and you take your time and move all your stuff to your new rig.  (Our old one sold before we could get moved out.) When you get all moved out a team of service men come over and go over every thing and fix anything that needs fixing.  We had a gooseneck hitch and our salesman told us they could fix the hitch out the rv to a gooseneck but Key Stone said no no, Lazy Days paid for a new hitch for the truck. Anyway this place is nice to visit if you are looking for a new or used RV.  Our week stay cost us 32.00, we only paid for one night Lazy Days paid for the other 6.  Check out their site at Lazydays.com     Oh yes, we will be going full time this summer.  We will be workcampers a lot of the time.  We start off working Coninth, in Alabama.

Actually, your one week stay sounds like it costed $32 north of several tens of thousands of dollars!
Congrats on your new home! It is wonderful to shop in peace.

Lazy Daze is the master of the monthly payment.  They do better than most other dealers at getting the monthly payment you want.  If you are like us and want to outright buy, they are not really a good place and their prices are higher than others and they won't give you a real deal on trade-ins.  A really good place to see lots of rigs, but they do not have everything.  We started our list with five models, Lazy Daze had four of them and Diane went through them all carefully while I was away for a week.  The one we eventually bought was the one they didn't have.

Some friends went for the free hamburgers at Guarantee RV Center in Junction City, OR while thier Monaco was getting worked on a few miles away.  That free burger cost them the purchase of another motorhome, an Alpine Coach.  It pays for those dealers to give away stuff.  You will be amazed at how many RVs they can sell at an owners rally, especially with a bar.
