Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Big Foot Auto Level System

I told Howard I would let him know what I thought about the Big Foot Auto Leving system once I had it installed. I thought others might be interested so I'm posting my thoughts here.


First it was installed Tuesday at Big Foot located in White Pigion Michigan. I have a 2004 HitchHiker Premeir 33LKTG. It was in the shop by 8:00 AM and the install crew went right to work. The installation was well done and completed by 12:30. When we went to pick it up we had one small problem, our trailer breaks would not work. They quickly found a burnt wire and repaired it.


The shop manager went through the operation of the system. which is quite simple. I was also given written instructions. We went through the process on my trailer and it performed as advertised. Once you get the F/W off the truck you raise the front end higher than the rear and hit the auto level button and stand back and watch it level the trailer. Once done it is rock solid. I wll no longer need my king pin stablizer or the blocks to level side to side. I will stil use the BAL chocks I install between the tires to limit front to back motion. Each lift is rated to raise 17,000 lbs, so with four these could lift any fifth wheel I know of. The system is hydralic and each lift is self contained. In addition I had my rear stablizers removed since I won't need them. I don't want any additional weight if not needed.

Hi all,  We went to White Pigion MI. in  May 06 to have the Big Foot system installed on our Cambridge 5er (Howard has a Cambridge).   We  had Disk brakes installed at Mor/Ryde and was in the process of the Big Foot install,  arrive the night before our appointment, next morning the shop opened on time.  Crew came out to do the install, to our disappointment the Cambridge doesn't have room to mount the front hydraulic's , that being said shop foreman said if we hadn't had the Onan generator in the front compartment with some cutting they might have been able to do the install.  So we are now in Goshen to get a larger pump installed on our Cambridge we have the hydraulic jacks in the front.  Just wanted to have the self-leveling system.  Big Foot is a awesome system.  Still  wish we could have had the system installed... GBY...

Our Royals International has a Bigfoot on it. It is the SINGLE thing we would never be without again. Take away any option on our rig, but not the Bigfoot. I highly recommend them. I like the Bigfoot far better than the HWH, which uses springs for retraction. The bigfoot is hydraulic both ways.

You can lift your rig to change tires, and it is pretty stable when leveled....more so than any other way of stabilizing.
