Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
While we were in Junction City, Ks. we toured the "New Horizons" place. They do not make units for dealers and the customer designs what he wants in an RV and they make it to your specs. My husband and I were really inpressed with these units from the steel structure to the finished product. One couple wanted 8 batteries (one for each solar panel). Also they asked for two 73 gallons of fresh water tanks.
The "New Horizons" is the only 5 star unit and I found out that a four season unit does not necessarily go by the double pane windows or even the heated underbelly. Its the durability of the unit being pulled down the road yr after yr.While there we met the president and were taken on a tour from top to bottom.
We were wondering if anyone on the gp has a New Horizons.?
I'm wondering the same thing. I received my package from rv.org, and the New Horizons are indeed rated the highest of all. Since it seems that all new purchases are factory-direct, I'm also wondering if there is any wiggle room on the prices.
I really cant answer that one maybe some one else can. I do know that they have some older Horizons on they're lot for sale....I do know that they only make them for customers or for shows.
This sounds exactly like a company in IN called Americana. Someone else on the forum asked a question about Americana. I intend to see the plant for Americana and now I want to see the plant for New Horizons. Both, from what I have read, sound about the same.
