Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
No...I can't seem to bring myself to full time but we do love to part-time. During the summer we are on the road a lot and when we are not out for an extended stay we will do long weekends to just get away.
We have been to Wisconsin Dells, Niagara Falls, Branson, Shipshewana, just to mention a few from this summer. Rving is so relaxing and a real joy. Our grandkids get busy with sports in the fall so we like to be around for them while they are growing up. They are at those great ages before the teen age years.
I have a new topic someone can start on for us. We have 4 cats but they don't travel with us. I think we would do more traveling if we could take them with us but with a 5th wheel I think it would be more difficult. First putting them in the truck them moving them to the RV them moving them back when it is time to move. All our cats are former feral cats so they are skidish around people. Also, the only time they go for a ride is when they go to the Vet. What do others do? Where do you put the sandbox?
We love reading the adventures on RV-Dreams and I really didn't think they would make it this far. It was such a radical life change. Good Job
Thanks,
Stan and Joanne

Same here, We are part timers, mostly weekenders with as many long weekends and extended trips as we can manage. My DW and I still work, trying to build up that retirement income.
We just made a weekend trip to Wright Patman Lake in Texarkana, Texas. It was a very relaxing weekend after a rough start. We had reserved a site and after setting up and leveling the trailer, we found that the electric breaker kept tripping.
After talking with the camp host, we ended up moving to a new site and going through the whole setup thing again. It was only 102 degrees and I think I lost a couple of pounds in the process. After all that we had a very relaxing weekend. I can hardly wait until we retire and hit the road.

We just met a full timing couple last weekend who have 1 cat. They used to have the cat ride in their truck which caused some problems so they tried leaving the cat in their 5th wheel and have concluded the cat is just fine riding in the 5th wheel. I do believe they leave early in the morning and stop very early before it gets too hot in their 5th wheel.
