Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
You are going to have to make your avatar a bit bigger......these ole eyes can't focus on something that small....LOL
By the way, I love your new 'college' bracelets! Once I get more experienced at making them, I am going to have to do a Univ. of TN bracelet!!! GO VOLS!!!!! If I make it big enough, I bet even Jim would wear it....well maybe not - but I definitely will!
Looking forward to seeing you guys again once we finally are able to get on the road - but for now we're just taking one day at a time!!
Please keep us in your thoughts on Monday............we will be meeting with the surgeon at 8:15am to discuss treatment options - and there are soooooo many options......kind of like all of the options of motorhome choices....:)
We spent today checking out 'furnished condo' options and we have narrowed it down to a one bedroom condo on Shallowbag Bay or a 3 bedroom house that is across the street from the ocean in Kitty Hawk, and it has a rooftop deck that looks out over the ocean. It would be nice to spend the time that Jim is recovering, taking walks on the beach. The doctor says 6-8 weeks recovery - but Jim say he plans to be up and going in 2-4 weeks!! So, I guess we'll see! We might just be on the road sooner than later!! We have one more condo to look at tomorrow and then we will make a final decision by tomorrow night!! Then we can get back to decision making concerning what motorhome to purchase :)
Thank you so much for setting up this forum!! I think it is going to be a great tool for all of us whether we are already fulltiming, soon to be fulltiming, fulltiming wannabees, or just folks living the fulltiming life vicariously through those that are actually living the life!!
Thanks for the compliments on the bracelets. I am just beginning to get started on those. They can really be a challenge. I am currently trying to come up with a good one for all those Alabama fans! I am consulting with one of our readers on it and he happens to want one for himself. So maybe Jim will wear one. I am going to make the men's bracelets a lot wider than the womens.
We will be thinking of you two on Monday. I am sure that the right choice will be clear to you both. It sounds like Condo hunting is coming right along. We all are hoping you will be hitting the road sooner than later.
