Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
This has been a great source of information for a good many RV'ers that were researching on how and what to consider for full time living in an RV. There has been an extreme amount of knowledge shared here by so many people who have participated in the conversations. Even though I have had a good deal of experience camping and using small travel trailers, there was still a lot that I learned here.
If only there was a way to archive all the information on the forums that could still be searchable by others that were considering this lifestyle. However, I would imagine that that too would involve a considerable investment.
My thanks to Howard and Linda for the knowledge that they have shared over the years and for the inspiration to pursue something that I once only dreamed of doing.
My thanks also to all the forum participants for your input. Even when only a question was asked, I still managed to learn something new, if for no other reason than dealing with a little different perspective.
As a moderator here, I can also say that the greatest majority of the folks here have been excellent in that they have been helpful and friendly, and thus, I didn't have to do so much as a moderator.
Good luck to all, and may God bless you all in your endeavors.

I agree that losing this valuable resource will be a great loss. I learned a lot ... mostly that I could actually do this. I share tribal knowledge with others as the opportunity presents. Thanks to all who have shared things with me. I will miss you. Glad that Howard and Linda have found their new chapter in life. It sounds like they will flourish, just as they did as full timers in the RV world.
Best wishes,
Ron and Janice

It has been a good resource, place to ask questions, and we met some friends here. However…when they downsized to the class C that was clearly the beginning of the end so I realized it wouldn't be too long until the forums and website went the way of the dodo. I'm surprised they maintained it this long since they settled down.
We met Howard and Linda just a few months after they went full time in 2005. We continued to follow them and attended a couple of their rallies representing Heartland and the Heartland Owners forum and had a great time visiting with them and making new friends.
The RV-Dreams has been a great source of information to anyone wanting to become a fulltime RV'er and we will always cherish our friends that we made, especially Howard and Linda.
Yup, this will be missed. I think I started reading this forum in maybe 2011 and it was a huge help in deciding that we could in fact live this lifestyle and was a huge factor in us hitting the road in 2012. We have made some good friends, many that we see on a somewhat regular basis and communicate with on a regular basis and for that we are happy. Be well everyone!!
So sad to see you all go! I spent from 2008 active since my health went south in March 2012 where I had to retire the traveling and working in August 2012. I have been stationary since than and sporaticly until recently. As the chapters of my life has turned again. I am pleased to say that my brother-in-law and daughter and grands and great grands have me slowly moving to their hometown in Grandville; Michigan to reside near them. It will be a sweet/sour move since I lived here in Lebanon Tn since August 1st 2012. I am estatic that they allowed me in their family! So I say again Thank You All! May we all be an RV Family in the Blue Wide Skies! PIEERE 1-615-705-7822

I too am sorry to see Howard and Linda shut this resource down. It is the first place I found after I got serious about going full time. The good news is that I have now purchased a 2017 Nexus Ghost Super C and will be going full time sometime next year. A great big thank you to Howard and Linda and all of the folks who made this forum work. All the best to Howard, Linda and everyone else here.
I too have been blessed by this forum over the years, and an sorry to see it go. But all good things must eventually come to an end. I look forward to seeing you guys on other forums, and maybe down the road some day. Thanks Howard and Linda for the great meeting place for us FTers.
