Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I sold my house!!

Probably more correctly I signed a sales agreement on my house.  Whether or not it actually sells it somewhat another matter but the first step is complete.  We'll probably move into one of our empty rental units for a couple of months as it needs to be rehabbed.  We should be buying a coach in January or February when the dealers are hungry.

Congratulations...

...however, I'm not sure the dealers will be hungry at the first of the year.  From reports that I'm hearing from different sources, folks are wanting to get out of the house (and self-isolation) and go do things.  Thus, such things as boats and RV's are in demand.  I suggest doing some more research on the RV's as it may be different in your area.  Here in Oklahoma, they are in demand.

Yep, I've seen the price of the coach I want go up $30,000 in the last few months, and the number available go down. I'm hoping this will change when everyone gets it out of they're system. If not, I may have to borrow a little money, or God forbid, go back to work for a few months to get what I want. Either way it's doable. We'll see what happens but I'm not going to let that get in my way, I've been working on this for 20 years.

Actually the decision was easy, it was made a few years ago, the hard part was getting the house ready to sell.  That got easier when someone approached me.  The price wasn't great, but they took it as is pretty  much so it worked.  I also got 10 weeks to get out so that helped too.  It's getting real fast.  I should be on the road by spring if not earlier.

I'm jealous.  We are scheduled to list our house in October so we are frantically getting things ready; lot of stuff to do between now and then.  I'm retiring Sept. 4th so I should have more free time to work on the house.

Good luck with your closing.

Congrats. we sold our house in one day with 45 day close, we are now living in the rig full time.  People are bailing from big cities and moving back to suburbia now that telecommuting is fashionable. At our current location west of Chicago... we have not seen a lot of RVers yet... so we have nothing to gauge this lifestyle by... but the kayaking on the Fox river is great. Meanwhile we mod our RV to fit our lifestyle.
