Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Dreams
#1) Fly fighters for the USAF. (Not gonna happen)
#2) Build my own small plane to fly in. (Difficult as a full-timer but working toward that goal. :) )
#3) Take the grandkids flying in whatever I have.
#4) Explore back roads and trails on my dirt bike while I can still swing a leg over one and kick it to life. Get my kids and grandkids involved. (DW is already involved)
#5) Downsize to a smaller rig.
#6) Share as much time and adventure with my family as possible before the Lord calls my name.

5 years from now, I would like to be looking back or reminiscing how I overcame my fears, distractions, worries, and what/when/how/ to start RVing and ministering the gospel.  I will be praising the Lord, for how he helped me fulfill his will.

2021 Prepare to retire  7-4 job
Purchase a new or used RV
2022 Have accomplished my goals in ministry, continue being a servant of the Lord Jesus, a helper, and a friend to those I meet.

Well my dream starts like this: I'm sitting naked at my desk in high school, and this beautiful... Oh wait, you mean our RVing dream, don't you?

My DW and I retired in early 2019. We bought a low mileage 1999 National Tropical Class A MH, sold or donated everything and hit the road with our little car in tow. So far we've traveled from coast to coast, visiting 15 states and Mexico, a dozen national parks and too many state parks to count - and we're just getting started. So I we're definitely living our dream.

Dreams/plans for the future: We plan on expanding our solar system bigly in about a year. We currently have a 620 watt array mounted on the side of our motorhome, but will be adding another 3240 watts on the roof + a 14.4 kwh 48v DIY LiFePo-4 battery bank to power a 48v DC mini-split heat pump and a whole house inverter for unlimited off grid power. We found we'd rather boondock amongst nature rather than be sandwiched in at RV parks like sardines in a can all the time. We also plan on purchasing a couple of Lectric XL electric bikes to better explore and run errands with. These will be charged by our huge solar system, so we'll literally be riding on sunbeams. Other than that, we will continue to explore the country until our health runs out. We'll then select our most favorite place from our travels to toss out the anchor. Then we will dream of all the great places we've seen, the people we've met, and the reward that awaits us, until our mortal probation ends.
