He had a mechanical background and advised me to accelerate and then brake hard. Problem solved ! Later, the RVer in me realized help is usually close by. Especially when one is amongst fellow RVers and not in NY. A reminder to me about one of the benefits of our lifestyle.

I hear all the time how "friendly" or "helpful" RVers are, and I believe it's true. I also like to believe that this is not exclusive to RVers, I think most people in the world are like this. Call it my pollyanna view of the world but I much prefer that to thinking that everyone is a crook or a malcontent, although I am aware that folks like that exist. Just my dos centavos.

There are many mechanical “tricks” to fix things. Wish I knew more of them.

Great story, thanks for sharing. Rvers are great neighbors. Festinating how in a short period of time we get to know each other to the point we consider each other to be great friends who we plan to travel and see again.

On thing I like the most about this forum, and others, is they attract those willing to take the time to share their experiences so some of us newer to the RV world learn the tricks more quickly rather than by trial and error.

Appreciate now knowing a trick to un-stick a wheel. I read our particular trailers owner's forum to find out about problems before the same happens to us. That way I'm less panicked when the problem shows up.

Seeing as my post has had a few recent views, I'd like to share about an e-mail I got from
Car Tow Dolly Manufacturer in NC the place that manufacturers and sells directly to the public

The economic slow down has impacted this small business. They have set up a go fund me page.
When I first got the email I was skeptical , but I called and spoke to the owner.

I am not soliciting for them, plenty of people have been hit hard. Just putting it out there.

Their situation is best explained on their web site.
