Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

2019 RAM3500.... WOW!

RAM has just unveiled their new 3500.... impressive specs upto 400 HP and 1000 ft lbs of torque. They upped towing to 35K and payload slightly to 5600 lbs(4x4CCDRW w/aisin tranny), not that most people will ever need that much capacity, but heh more ability should mean less strain on the components for normal/common towing situations.

Here's the full read on FTL.com

We are just about ready to pull the trigger for our tow vehicle, don't know if we can hold out long enough (reportedly it will be available in Q2 2019) to get this beast, but then the current iteration is plenty strong for our needs.

Love the styling cues and interior options, but ohhhh those specs are awesome, even overkill perhaps for us. RAM just upped the game. IMHO.

My weak 2015 RAM does just fine towing 33-35k.

Even with all the capacity they are only 14k GVWR.

I'd wait if I could and get the 2019.  Increase HP and Torque aside, I've been in the new interiors and honestly they are another step above even compared to high-end SUV's.  The software for the -69 commercial Asian transmission has been improved for a better learning mode for what that's worth - and it worth a lot to me.

But now with full rear air suspension - that's a really big deal, IMO.  We have that aftermarket and the ride is just amazing for a Class V truck.

Others may prefer other brands, but I continue to be so extremely pleased with ours and I think the 2019 will be another step in refinements.  Wait.

Unfortunately while I really like the new “WOW” I’m willing to bet that cost is now going to bouncing substantially higher. Just a guesstimate but a loaded 2019 3500 is going towards the $90K mark or higher.

So glad my truck is a 2016 ... this is a gate I won't have to go thru for YEARS (hoping to get 10 good years out of our current ride).
