Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I don't normally post a link just to a blog update but this one take you to our yearly analysis after 6 years on the road so I thought some might be interested.
Thanks Dave or Diane, whichever one of you put the budget stuff together. I'm still in the process getting things together but the budget stuff has been helpful. I realize that a lot of it is variable by person/couple but most folks probably won't be that much different. Thanks again, I think I'm going to start a spreadsheet for this stuff because I need to have some idea what I'll be spending.
Thanks for sharing ... I find that we are pretty similar, except we eat out WAY more than you do .... Otherwise pretty close. Nice job keeping tabs on everything.

Howard has a "sample" spreadsheet that can give you some ideas.

I got one from one of Howard's pages up through 2014. I know the number aren't up to date but with inflation running around 2% it should put me in the ball park. Being the spreadsheet whiz that I am I just used Howard's classifications and then expanded for the ones that Dave and Diane added. I know I've seen other folks numbers out the so all I have to do is go get them an plug them into the spreadsheet and I should have a pretty good budget when I put in some of my known numbers like health insurance etc.
Thanks for the comments. When researching Linda & Howards blog and spreadsheet information was a huge part of our research and a very big part of why we post our own each year.
Oh, and I'm the numbers guy in the family but I enjoy doing it so it never seems to be a burden.
I clicked on it and it was fine. Wordpress is a reputable company and has been around for a while. I have pretty good virus protection that is up to date and it didn't flag it so I'm pretty sure it's OK. Dave was also kind enough to share other information with me so I'm pretty sure he's a real person.

Yup, I've been hanging around this site and many others under the same name since around 2010 I'm guessing, I'm a real person LOL!! But I understand the fears of clicking on links.
