Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Camp Host Job paying $18 an hour

Hi all,

We have been on the road and working for the last four years and I wanted to share a company that we like enough to go back to for the third time.  We are camphosting for the Portland General Electric Parks Department and this year they are raising their pay to $18 an hour.  In addition to the hourly rate they offer medical, dental, vision, and 401K and the second year you come back you are fully vested.  These jobs are hard work though as they are in in beautiful public campgrounds that are almost always full.  They are also in remote places and most don't have traditional full hookups although it varies from location to location.  If you need to work, love being in remote areas, and can be flexible with services this might be a a great job for you so I thought I would pass it along.  You can check it out by searching on Associate Park Technicians under the PGE career site.  https://www.portlandgeneral.com/careers

I expect entry level job wages to continue rise as the shortage of workers intensifies.

Well I've searched the site twice now, once just now, and once a couple of days ago and don't get anything. Not sure what's going on. Maybe later in the year or early next year?

Go to the link Trace provided, then click on Current Openings, then click on View All Jobs, then you should see the link for Associate Park Technicians.

Got it. Thanks. Not in the market right now but it looks like it might be interesting.

they would need lots of help, it looks like they have 14 or 15 campgrounds.
