Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
OK, we know rig issues are all part of the lifestyle.
The back story. Our motorhome ignition key was "spinning" as in 11o clock position is off, 3 o clock is start, 1 o clock is on. I had to turn it to 6 o clock to start 3 would be on and 1 would be off.
Issue started just before need for an oil change, they tightened it up for me when I went for the oil change. key positions all good.
BUT, and of course we have left the area, despite parking brake being on levelers will not go down. Note Brake "on" light does not come on, only illuminates with all the other dash lights during brief time key in start position.
The leveler control panel does come on and off when it's buttons are pushed but pushing extend....nothing.
We are fortunate to be on a very level site, but we are a rockin, with any activity.
Our home is a 39ft 2002 Airstream Land Yacht DP
I looked under the dash, no readily visible loose wires.
But, we wound up going to a freightliner dealer as we came to realize it was a "motor" issue not a "home" issue, we even had a mobile tech to our current campground.
He'll be back to take care of a slide out topper,
anyway per mechanic's notes issue was " pin drag loose", it was adjusted ad secured.
