Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I would like to fly next winter to Thailand, rent me and RV there and explore the countryside on my own. Because I never was in Thailand I wanted to ask here if someone would know a good place for it.
I would also love to take part on one or more sightseeing tours or rent a private speed boat during my stay in Thailand.
Hi Katharina!
Thailand is a fantastic idea for a winter holiday stay. Nice climate, interesting places to explore and very welcoming people.
The best place for your RV based holiday would be Phuket, there you have the best sightseeing tours and might rent a private speed boat as well.
My friend suggested me Phuket as well. All said I would have there the best sightseeing tours and a good place for exploration on my own. Additionally I could rent there a private speed boat to explore the sea side as well on my own.
They also told me the name of the club, it was the Club Champagne Phuket.
OK - We were in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam last month. We did not see any RV's or camping in the areas we visited. I have to say that I can't imagine driving any size RV over there. It was scary enough riding with a professional driver. The driving culture there has no similarities to the states. Completing for road space with millions of motorcycles, scooters, bicycles and water buffalo would scare me to death. And the truck drivers are a whole story in it self.
We loved our time there and would go again in a minute, just NOT in an RV.
We drive all over Mexico, SO WE ARE NOT TIMID DRIVERS. In SE Asia, just hire a driver and enjoy your trip.
