Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have come to that 'familiar place' many of you arrived at years ago--in that the traditional "stuff" centered worldview has lost its charm.
Our circumstance may begin a bit differently (or not) as 5th wheeling is being seen as a housing solution for what may be several years of being "disaster gypsies' working reservist roles with FEMA. At least that is the intent. Even without such needs, the entire idea of full-time travel has been fomenting for some time. At some point thinking must take the form of action--and we are there! At our ages putting it off until 'later' likely means that the RV would be a casket pulled by a hearse. No fun at all--so time to get doing...
Right now, we are in the heavy research stages. Pragmatic things such as home base logistics, finances, healthcare, and most certainly--a rig that is configurable for living and work--and the steel horse to move it around. I look forward to reading the content here, and sorting things out in a seasoned community.

You will find the information and research done by Howard and Linda as a great tool to work through the questions you have. We studied and followed this site for over a year before beginning our adventure. We have loved our RV/travel/Mexico lifestyle for the last 4 1/2 years and we hope your adventure is as awesome as ours has been.
Enjoy the planning and research as you move forward, it's all part of RV life.
