Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Winter has come in with a bang! November was a real nice month in northern Canada with some nice sunny warm days and we felt very fortunate because we know the change will come Yesterday afternoon was +2 C (33ish F) and it got cold last night and snowed a little. Today is -20C (4F) and 30 mph wind giving a wind chill value close to -30C (-22F). Took the dog for a walk and my face hurts. Retirement date is Feb 2018 which means yet another one of these to go thru but it"s close.
To all the fortunate RVers that are down south enjoying shorts and t-shirts, I envy your position but soon we will get that experience and I will be sure to message my working friends each time I see the forecasts like ours right now. Weatherman says this is with us for the next couple of weeks! Yayyy :) Cheers to everybody and on the bright side it's easy to chill the beers !!
We love Canada. I keep Whitehorse, YT and Inuvik, NWT, which we have visited among others in Alaska, such as Tok, in my weather app to remind me just how much we really do love Canada, the people there and Alaska - in June.
We have had such nice weather that I was hoping this would be one of the years winter held off until after the new year when I plan on heading south. Lately winter has been trying to get going but can't get a hold. We will have 3 warm days and three cold days. This week it will be below freezing and snowing for three days and warm up to the 50's Friday and Saturday for me to work on the trailer.

Winter has arrived here in PA also! Yes - we are CHOOSING to be here to see our kids before heading south - but temps in the 20's is still temps in the 20's! And is predicted to get worse before it gets better!
Oh well - the things we do for the love of our kids!
This is the first time since becoming fulltimers in 2010 that we have stayed this long in the Vancouver BC area. The area had just experienced around 55 days of rain in the last 2 months and now we are in for our second snow storm today with unseasonable weather continuing into at least next week. Our overnight temps have been as low as -6C and day time highs as low as -1C. Our fireplace and an additional electric heater have been running 24/7 as well as the furnace. Our Montana has the Arctic package. That's a joke!
Figures we picked the wrong year to spend Christmas with family. Never again! Next time we'll fly back from Arizona . 😎
We sit in Southwest Washington and have snow on the ground and freezing rain coming out of the sky..............like Bill and Kelly it is for the kids. First grand baby this year and the kids could not imagine us not being here for his 1st Christmas. I tried to convince them that he would never remember it and it will be better to be home for later Christmas's, but all to no avail. LOL Funny how for 5 years of marriage they did not care weather we were around much. But have a baby and they want us again. hehehehehehhehehehehehe. It is good to feel the love again, but we are dreaming of the weather in the south. January will be here soon.
It's supposed to warm up this week at least....-12 C for a high temp and we can't wait. -32 at night with windchill touching-40 but it's a dry cold 😩 The boys here at work have been out thawing pipes all weekend. Glad I get to stay inside.
Sure feels good here at Bahia Honda State Park. Just arrived last night. Last year while at Stock Island, Fl. I heard of the problems with getting a spot here. Well on our first try we were blessed to get a spot. Next after these two weeks we up to Miami to Mooch Dock at Kin Folks. Sure am glad to have Kin Folk here in Florida. Allergies have started to bother me more as I get older it seems. Well god speed all, hope you newbies like us enjoying this life style as much as we are.
We feel your pain. Thirty miles north of Boston, MA, still in the s&b and retirement is 2024. When the first bad weather of the winter starts I feel myself curl up inside. No promise of a white Christmas, no promise of a hot toddy, nothing can cheer me up. I drove to work this morning at 5:30 through blizzard conditions, barely able to see the highway in front of me. But, being New England, the good part is that snow had stopped and roads cleared while I am at work and the drive home should be o.k. However, we're looking at temperatures to be below zero by the end of this week in our area. I am so dreaming of palm trees and blue water and temperatures that don't have me wrapped in a huge blanket at night while watching t.v. I know it's coming but I can barely wait. Hubby feels the same. The good part is we have begun cutting costs where we can hugely and paring down possessions and should be in really good shape by the time we're hooked up and ready to pull away.

Yep, getting colder here in Northern California too. Dipping into low 40s day/20s at night. Also here for kids and family until January when we head back to Arizona to warm up. No snow yet on the trailer, but the snow level has been flirting with us.
Currently I'm wintering in Mesa, AZ. This is end of my third year on the road. It's been in the 70's, however it's raining today. feels nice for a change. Yesterday I received pictures from my homebase area in Montana. A foot of snow! Nice to look at for awhile, but gets old quickly.
This past year I spent in the northwest, mostly exploring Montana. We live in a wonderful county with beautiful views everywhere you go.
We actually have a freeze warning in Houston Tx for Monday morning.

Yeah ... Texas is getting a taste of winter. It will be short lived, but uncomfortable none the less. We'll be back in the 60's and 70's (with the occasional bump into the 80's. Great golf weather, except the next few days.

We have had a couple nights in the mid-20s F here in the mountains of Southern Callifornia at 3500' elevation. Looking forward to getting to lower elevation after Christmas and Mesa Arizona after New Years.
