Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Workamper News just announced they are going from four memberships/subscriptions down to two, and one of the two is FREE!
The Workamper News Intro membership is free and it includes online access to the most current Workamper News Magazine of job listings and articles. It also includes the Daily Hotline Jobs emails and access to the Hotline Jobs Webpage. This is a huge deal.
The old Bronze & Silver memberships have been eliminated and the Gold membership price has been reduced to $47 per year or $39.95 for the "Green" version (no print magazine mailed). The biggest benefit of the Gold version, in my opinion, is the Resume Builder where you can see sample resumes, build your own resume, have it available for view by employers, and have it easily sent to employers. The Daily Hotline email was another big benefit of the paid subscriptions, but that is now included in the free Intro version.
The website says this about the Gold vs the Intro:
Why you may want this level over the free Intro level:
You want to customize the opportunities emailed right to you, and know about them immediately
You aren't interested in spending hours and hours surfing the internet to compile job listings
You want Employers coming to you!
You'd like to build a Workamper resume via an easy, step-by-step process
You want information from top experts in the industry at the click of a mouse
You like to continuously market yourself to employers to keep your Workamper schedule full
You want to research a Workamping job before you commit
You're interested in connecting with fellow Workampers and learning from them
You haven't started Workamping yet, but are a year or less away
Being a Workamper News Concierge that gets a commission on sign-ups to the paid memberships when our concierge code is used, this won't be good for us. But it's great for current workampers and full-timers and future full-timers so we're just fine with it.
