Lucky Mike, You know it goes without saying that you are well loved and respected here on this site and we hope you continue to share your great wit and wealth of knowledge. Dalton MA is a wonderful town located on the edge of the Appalachian Trail, you will love it there. Well Mike, we have never met but you have been a part of our lives for the past few years just the same. We will all reach the stage you are at some time or another and I hope we can all make the right choices like you have when it comes time.

Sorry to hear that your health status has come to the point that you have to "pull over," but I'm glad you found a pace to stop that you really like. As others have said, please stay with us on the forum - we enjoy having you around.

To paraphrase a well known saying... You can take the man out the RV but you can't take the RV out of the man.  Glad you will still be hangin' round these parts to share your keen insight and perspective on all things RV and on human nature.  We look forward to your next coffee snorting, laught out loud post that just make one's day.  Your creative solutions to problems people in this community face is welcome by us and others.  

We never met and yet we, somehow, are familiar.  Take care and stay in touch with this part of your "family".

Mike, I just want you to know how much I have appreciated you over the years, I don't post much here anymore, mostly because of you (and other great members) giving me such great advice and support. When I first joined, You were one of the first people to welcome me to the group, when I found you all, almost 4 years ago. Thank you!

I echo what so many others have already said, your humor is something we all associate with you and your comments, more than once I have laughed out loud reading your responses to some of the posts. I wish you all the very best in your transition to your new chapter and beyond, enjoy your S&B and come back often with your wisdom/wit. We are all headed in the same direction

I hope you enjoy your new life in what sounds like an idyllic, pastoral setting. Does Mass freeze your property taxes after a certain age as they do in some states? Unfortunately I was under this age in Louisiana when the parish raised my property taxes 1,000% a few years back (by reappraisal for twice what it was worth, even though the millage increase was rejected by the voters.) Because my town's property tax is indexed off the parish's tax it also increased 10 times too. It didn't help that my homeowner's insurance doubled after Katrina and my DW lost her job due to Katrina too - talk about kicking a man when he's down! My house was one of the few in the area that survived the hurricane, but not the local government's greed who wanted to raise the same revenue as before the storm from the few people who remained. I would never buy a S&B again because of this, as I fear the government could swoop in and take it whenever they see an opportunity.

I hope MA is a little kinder to its homeowners than LA is, and nothing like this ever happens to you. Anyway, I'm sure you'll have better luck with things than we did, Lucky Mike!
