Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Jeannie and Mary Ann are gonna do this!

We've been talking about full timing for a while now and have finally realized that time flies by! We have a target retirement date of December 2018.....or maybe earlier. We know we want to sell the house and everything in it. Well, we will need some clothes, dishes, food, and the fur babies. We have begun to donate to Good Will, sell on e-bay and shop for a motor home. We're going with a class C, hopefully a super C. We've traveled out of state to look at some RVs but haven't found the right one yet. We did downsize from 2 cars to one Jeep Wrangler. We attended the Spring Rally in Tennessee and that got us even more motivated! My job is super stressful and I'd love to leave tomorrow. If the house and stuff would disappear tomorrow, I'd leave tomorrow.......if we had an RV in the driveway. We are going to do this and we're going to get it done before December 2018! Any helpful hints, tips, sage advice, or words of wisdom are welcome. Any suggestions on brand, model of class C for full timing? We have looked at a whole bunch of them and not too many appear to be made with quality materials. Are we making a mistake with a C or just not found the right brand yet? We are thinking about a bunkhouse model just for the storage of doggie beds, cat bed, toys, treats, etc. Appreciate any and all help. See ya on the road......watch out!

Hey y'all
Glad to see you have made the decision to full time. A wonderful adventure is waiting, you have but to seize it.
For us the decision to full time was tough but once we made the choice all the emotions came flooding in. We were excited and scared at the same time. We kept asking ourselves are we doing the right thing. Each time we would talk through the doubt and we always affirmed our choice. We are 15 months as full timers and we are truly enjoying life.
Good luck on your journey I can promise it won't be boring. If you should start to doubt your decision please know there are people here willing to lend an ear. Don't hesitate to reach out.
Ps we enjoyed meeting y'all and sharing a table at the Rally.
Regards

Don't limit yourselves to Class C, look and Class A as well. A diesel Class A is just as easy to drive as a C class or super C. Look at them all and test drive each. Each type has its advantages and draw backs.
I hope you found the rally as helpful as we did a few years ago. Hope to meet you on the road some time.

We have a Class C but have also owned a Class A. Our Class C is in the driveway, we've sold almost everything we had and the house went on the market yesterday! Hoping to be on the road by October!
Sounds like the Rally is something we should think about doing.
Best of luck in your soon to be travels!
Peace and blessings!

Congratulations and good for you guys!! Amazing how those timelines move up after a rally :) I will say this, keep the enthusiasm but move steadily. You've got some big decisions ahead of you and take the time to get it right...for you! Congratulations again and looking forward to seeing you on the road.

Excited for you guys. We moved up our timeline as well. Reading tons of blogs has taught me we all go through the same concerns and, somewhat the same process, for getting there. You will be a year ahead of us.
