Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Really miss the RV life!

Since my husband has passed away, I cannot continue our full-timing lifestyle.  I miss it terribly and enjoy reading posts from others who are on the road.  Brings back lots of good memories!

jucatt,

Welcome to this forum. Would suggest you finish filling your profile in with a location. Then maybe someone close could bring you to the next RV-Dreams seminars and Rally. Or you could always rent a cabin as many do and enjoy the company of fellow Rvers for a great week.

John

Judy,

First of all, welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  While I would normally mention that this place is a good place to learn, if your birth date in your profile is correct, I think you have already learned.  So, in your case, I'll just say that I hope that we here at RV Dreams can help you relive and remember your full-time RV lifestyle.  Thanks for blessing us with your presence, and we hope to hear any comments that you could provide us all.

Terry

Jucatt--
If there are physical or financial reasons you cannot continue full-timing, I'm sorry to hear that.

But, if the barriers are purely emotional, perhaps you would surprise yourself at what you can still do! I've met a number of older solo women in my travels. Some are full-time, but many now have a homebase somewhere and just RV as snowbirds or part-timers. Some travel in big RVs, but most in smaller ones, and some even just put a camp cot and a cooler in the back of a minivan and call it good enough!

Thank you, Lynne, but I truly need companionship when RVing. I need someone to whom I can say "Oh, look at that!!!" Or someone to say that to me. I could travel alone but to me that would be terribly boring and maybe stressful. Maybe someday though.
