Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

The ball is rolling.....

Hello everyone! My name is Kelly, age 58 and my partner is Lisa age 62. We have decided to start our full timing dream. We are having an Estate Sale next month, buying a RV, Lisa will retire and then we are heading to FL. to establish our domicile.

We have owned RV's in the past and done lots of weekend and vacation camping. It is scary getting rid of all of your "stuff" and heading out into the wild blue  yonder, but I can't wait.

We hope to purchase a Class C and tow our Honda CRV behind it. We used to own a 36 foot Class A but it was just too big for me and I never learned to drive it. Lisa did all of the driving. I'm hoping to share in the driving of the Class C. We hope to do lots of boondocking/dry camping and not be constantly moving around. I'm looking forward to seeing many things I've always wanted to see and visiting all of the USA!

Kelly and Lisa,

Welcome to the forum! Agree with you "that it is scary getting rid of all your stuff and heading out" but Life IMHO is meant to be lived and enjoyed not just an existence and bunch of "I should haves" while wondering how great an RVing lifestyle can be.
Congrats on taking that first hardest step in moving forward like a steam train engine. If we can answer any ?'s just ask.

John

Thank you John for your kindness. I'm sure I will have some more thoughts and questions eventually. Peace and blessings!

Yikes! We did it...we "jumped off a cliff into the rest of our life"! on Monday. We ended up buying something we never thought we'd buy but it's gonna be great. At least we put down "earnest" money and will take full possession on April 24 or 25, 2016. I am alternately between "Yippee" to "Yikes". Now, to complete the process of getting out of our little rental house, having the Estate Sale, storing the rest.....

Yikes!

Welcome to the "rest and time of your lives" LandL

psst.....
it is easier to collect the money from your estate sale if your feet are on the ground!

Congrats on your new adventure! We found a Class C late this afternoon and put down earnest money. We hope to hear about the loan tomorrow....then after the house sells we will pay it off! Great adventures await us!
